On the jet to Korea, they were all trying to figure out where the Old Novas went.
El was playing with his new arm, and Kenji was trying to help him figure it out.
Amane and Thea were talking about their fights, and Tabia was on a call with Jackson because he got lost.
Ethan was trying to pull off his headband.
Ajesh and Lysander were playing Go Fish with the cards they found in a drawer, and Sanzang was still asleep.
“Hey Amane, how far from Korea are we?” Ajesh asked.
“We’re in the airspace of an island near China, so I’d say an hour or so.” Amane responded.
“Good good, so one more game?” Lysander asked.
“Sure. I wish ‘Zang were up. He’s fun to play with. He’s dumb but smart with cards.” Ajesh said.
As they were flying, they got hit with an object.
“WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?” Thea yelled, looking at Amane.
“HOW THE HELL WOULD I KNOW?!” Amane yelled back.
The jet began to go down, and El tried to help it get back up, but it was for no use.
The plane crashed, and they all got out.
“Anyone hurt?” Ajesh asked.
Everyone nodded, except Sanzang, who had just woken up.
They were surrounded by monkeys.
“What the hell? Where are we? These guys are too smart.” Ethan said, confused.
Ajesh charged up a sphere of dark blue energy that sparked, but Ethan put his hand down.
“Just wait.”
Suddenly, a man in a baggy shirt and pants, a bear loincloth, who had a prayer bead bracelet, emerged between the monkeys.
He had blue eyes, a monkey tail, and he was holding an iron rod with golden ends.
“Who are you humans?” the man asked, putting the rod on his shoulders and keeping both of his hands on it.
Ethan took a step back after seeing him, and Kenji went to repair his armor.
Ajesh tried blasting him, but his energy just got negated.
“Divine Soul doesn’t work here. Too much energy will just turn itself off.” the man said.
The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.
“My name is El. These are some Novas, who are gonna sit out. Except Ethan, who is the Monkey Nova, and Kenji, who is not a Nova. But it looks like he’s having trouble, so just Ethan.”
“Don’t volunteer me! Volunteer Sanzang!” Ethan yelled.
Sanzang got up and went into Human Stance.
Ethan followed, manifesting Jingubang.
Ethan ran forward and tried hitting him in the head with his staff, but the man stopped it with his own.
“Introductions are in order on my end. I am Jinshu, the Stone Monkey of this world.” the man said, kicking Ethan away and thrusting his staff, extending it and hitting Ethan in the gut.
“And this is Ruyi Jingu Bang. Jingubang for short. But you knew this, didn’t you, Ethan?”
He then swept the staff and hit Sanzang, but Sanzang blocked it.
While he blocked it, he was still swept to the side and went flying.
Sanzang was immediately knocked unconscious.
Ethan expanded and extended his staff, but Jinshu hit it with his own staff, de-manifesting it and turning it back into a stick.
“Alright then…” El said, picking Sanzang up.
“See, we need to get to Korea, and as you can see, everyone here isn’t doing their best. So could we just leave?” El asked.
“Fine, the monkeys will help you repair the jet. It’ll take three days. In the meantime, this… Monkey Nova stays with me. Also Sanzang.” Jinshu replied.
“Armless Old Man, I swear if you agree, I will—” Ethan tried saying before El agreed.
Jinshu grabbed Ethan by the headband and cloud somersaulted to a waterfall.
They went through the waterfall, and Jinshu threw the staff outside.
“Jingubang, Extend and Expand.” he said, making the staff as large as a building and as wide as a mountain.
“You’re the one Sun said has the right to the Ruyi Jingu Bang once you get rid of that Tight Fillet Headband.” Jinshu told him.
“So I was right, it is Jingu! So how do I get it off?” Ethan asked eagerly.
“Based on past experience… become Buddhist and gain the title of Buddha.” Jinshu told him.
Ethan’s expression quickly turned sour.
“When I find the person who put this thing on me, I swear…” he mumbled to himself.
“Alright then, we’ll practice fighting for the next few days.” Jinshu said.
Back with everyone else, Sanzang was practicing his kicks while using Yuddham.
But then he saw a ghost-like figure practicing the same kicks.
“So I can reach you!” the ghost figure said.
It had the same type of armor Sanzang had in the fight, plus red and gold eyes.
“My name is Varinzik, and this might be the last time you see me. I am the Trinexus, but I’m not the only one here.” he told Sanzang.
“Why would this be the last time?” Sanzang asked.
“Because I am dead. And you are my reincarnation. Sort of. You are another Trinexus, but you are also another version of my soul. A Trinexus is a being that is ? God, ? human, ? monster. It allows me to use both Chaos and Divine Soul.” Varinzik told him.
“If I’m ? God and ? monster, why do I get hurt like a human, and I don’t have scales?” Sanzang asked again.
“No clue. All I know is I’m gonna help you learn my techniques so you can fight for yourself.” Varinzik told him, getting into God Stance.
“I want to be my own person, not a reincarnation.” Sanzang said, going into Monster Stance.
“You won’t become me. You’re a Nova, a Trinexus, and a martial artist.
Now, are we gonna train or not? Because I’m on a three-day limit, and then our souls go back into being one.” he replied.
They both began to practice kicks, punches, and different techniques for the next three days.
Ethan and Jinshu practiced how to use a staff and skills using Jingubang’s unique properties.
Everyone else worked on repairing the jet.
After they were done, Jinshu waved goodbye, and as everyone got in the jet, he told Ethan something.
“I know you were wondering why I’m a stone monkey yet I look human.
Humans experimented on me, trying to take the stone I’m born from and turn me human.
So when I was born, I killed them, and Wukong took me to this island paradise.” Jinshu said.
“Too much info, but I’m sorry… must’ve been hard.” Ethan replied.
Jinshu waved as he got on the jet, and Ethan waved back.
Sanzang and Varinzik finished a sparring session, and they both simply put up a peace sign as Varinzik disappeared.
