“Ranita, what are you running from!”


    Her waist was encircled by his arm, and his chest was pressed against her back. Startled, Ranita’s hand jerked, sshing cold water onto her clothes.


    “Let go of me! We’re in public…” Ranita’s words were cut short as she felt a kiss on her ear, followed by his whisper, “I found something good yesterday.”


    “I don’t care what you found. Can you please let me go? Do you think this is appropriate?”


    One evening, Brendon had once again forgotten what she had said the day before.


    “Stay away from me! Or I’ll call security!” As she spoke, Ranita was harshly embraced, her body colliding with his, the warmth enveloping her, causing her breath to falter.


    “Brendon!” Her voice rose in protest.


    Brendon’s heart softened at her call, and he tightened his embrace, murmuring, “Yes, I’m here.”


    “Give me a hug, and then I’ll let go.” Brendon’s voice was low, exuding a seductive tone.


    Upon careful listening, one could discern a hint of him being coquettish in his slightly trembling voice.


    Ranita was torn between softening her heart and maintaining her boundaries, so she proposed, “Will three seconds be enough?”


    “How about doubling it?” Brendon chuckled softly.


    “Now it’s time to double it! Let go quickly!” Ranita lightly nudged his abdomen with her elbow.


    He remained rigid and motionless.


    “You’re not keeping your word!” Frustrated, Ranita gritted her teeth. Just as she was about to act, Brendon said, “How many times have you broken your promises to me!”


    “You’re so petty!”

    Brendon chuckled softly, his voice resonating with a hint of teasing, as he nuzzled against her neck, making her skin tingle and grow warm.


    Initially blushing, Ranita’s cheeks turned even redder after this yful exchange. “Brendon, I’m getting angry…”


    Before she could finish, Brendon interrupted her with a somewhat resentful tone, “Are you close with Makhi? He’s always watching you, and you’re always smiling at him.”


    “No!” Ranita retorted, feeling irritated. “You have a talent for making baseless usations.”

    “Alright! Go ahead!” Though Brendon said this, he loosened his grip on her arm slightly. “We’ll settle thister!”


    Ranita hurried back to the private room.


    Marlon was engrossed in conversation with Makhi, but as soon as Ranita sat down, their attention shifted to her.


    “Ranita, your face is still flushed. Are you feeling unwell?” Makhi smiled gently. “Or should I swap ces with you for a cooler spot?”


    Originally seated between Brendon and Makhi, exchanging seats with Makhi would keep her away from Brendon!


    Ranita readily agreed.


    When Brendon returned and noticed Ranita had changed seats, he said nothing, maintaining a cold demeanor without much conversation.


    He appeared displeased, leaving Ranita feeling uneasy. Like a nervous teenager, her heart was in turmoil, and she couldn’t even eat properly.


    As the dinner ended, Ranita bid farewell to Marlon, intending to return to the hotel. However, Brendon called out to her, “I’ll escort you back!”

    As Makhi spoke, Brendon’s gaze fixed on Ranita.
