Ayaan and the woman from earlier had disappeared.
“Ayaan!” A bad thought rushed into Ranita’s mind, and she ran out like crazy to grab a passing nurse. “The woman in room 3, bed 1 took my son away.”
The news about the woman had spread. The nurse immediately rushed to the nursing station and called security, but with so many peopleing in and out of the hospital, security wasn’t sure they could find her. They told Ranita to call the police right away.
Ranita had no idea where to go as she ran out onto a busy street after leaving the hospital ward!
Her head was spinning, her heart felt like it was going to jump out of her chest – where did Ayaan go? What should she do?
Ranita ran around the hospital but couldn’t find a trace of anyone! At that moment, the police called and asked her to wait at the hospital while they retrieved the surveince footage.
“It’s her!” In the surveince footage, Ranita saw the woman carrying the sleeping Ayaan running out of the ward, not taking the elevator but using the stairs to leave the hospital building.
There was a camera at the staircase, which captured the woman hurriedly leaving with the child through a side door.
“Ms. Bowman, we will contact the traffic surveince department as soon as possible. If you have any updates, please contact me immediately.”This belongs to N?velDrama.Org - ?.
“We also know that you don’t know this woman, Sophia Wace. We received information from doctors and nurses that Sophia’s six-month-old child suddenly passed away, so we suspect she might have taken your child impulsively. At the moment, the level of danger seems low.”
“But we will do our best to find your child as soon as possible.”
Ranita’s heart was shattered.
Jedidiah finally arrived and was shocked and angry when he heard that Ayaan had been taken. “What happened?”
“It’s all my fault… I shouldn’t have left him alone to go to the bathroom! Brother… it’s all my fault…”
Ranita couldn’t bear the thought that Ayaan had been taken because of her negligence. She couldn’t even voice her sorrow; her voice wouldn’te out.
“Don’t be afraid! I will find Ayaan! Don’t be afraid!” Jedidiah took charge of the situation, negotiating with the police while also searching for Ayaan near the hospital.
“Ranita, Ayaan is so smart. If he wakes up, he will definitely seek help.” Jedidiah tried tofort Ranita, but she couldn’t listen. She stared nkly into the distance.
Ayaan was so small, could he really outsmart an adult?
It was all her fault!
“Let me buy you a cup of coffee. Take a moment to calm down, and then we’ll continue searching for Ayaan.”
Ranita continued to sit there in a daze. She remembered four years ago when she was kidnapped and it was Brendon who saved her.
If it were Brendon, he should have a solution, right?
Ranita didn’t care about anything else. She dialed Brendon’s number, and it rang once before he picked up. His deep voice came through the phone, “Ranita, is that you? I was just about to call you to ask about Ayaan…”
His voice had a magical effect, making her unable to hold back her grievances any longer.
“Brendon…” Ranita choked up, tears streaming down her face. She sobbed, “Brendon… can youe back? Come back and help me… Brendon… our Ayaan has been taken… Ayaan is gone. Please help me, Brendon!”
Ranita finished speaking through her sobs, crying so hard that she could hardly make a sound.
It was truly heartbreaking.
