“Right! You know Miss Bowman usually just works and rarely goes out. She also doesn’t post much on social media, but this time she not only posted but also nine pictures. It’s really interesting,” Julia paused and smiled before saying, “I feel like Miss Bowman is living a happy life after leaving Stuart’s Corp!”
Brendon pursed his lips.
He opened his phone and clicked on social media. His contacts in his private phone were mostly close people, including Ranita, but he had never bothered to check their social media because it was too boring. Especially Allen and Holly who posted things that had no value.
Brendon felt like it was a waste of time.
Ranita had posted something new with nine pictures. He clicked on it and saw a lush green ivy nt. A memory shed through Brendon’s mind as he thought about the library at Kurima Foreign Studies University.
Brendon softened his expression slightly.
But as he swiped to the next picture, he frowned again.
It was her photo with Chris, with another girl standing beside them. But she was standing too close to Chris and looked so happy with her beautiful features – dark eyebrows over bright eyes – without Shannon’s fragility yet still possessing an air of elegance that made Brendon feel like overflowing joy would burst from the screen any moment now.
Brendon continued to flip through the pages with a dark expression. Besides Chris, there was also Vincent… Brendon felt so infuriated that smoke seemed to being out of him.
“Mr. Stuart, the car is ready. Shall we leave now?” Julia, noticing Brendon’s unpleasant expression, felt delighted.
“Let’s go!” Brendon closed his phone and strode out.
The next day, Ranita had another day of fun. The anniversary celebration was indeed lively. Ranita met ssmates she hadn’t seen in a long time and even went out for lunch with them.
“Ranita! I heard you’re not running your studio anymore? What happened? Are you facing some difficulties?” Lily Lane, one of Ranita’s ssmates, asked. Ranita used to be the school beauty, and, being easy to get along with, she was liked by both male and female ssmates.
Of course, there were a few who held opinions against her, like Lily.
“No, I just want to take a break,” Ranita replied, keeping matters involving Mia and Carl private as she didn’t want them to be gossip.
“Really? Howe I heard that Mia and Carl have left Kurima?” Lily said with a sneer. “Could it be that you can’t make it in this industry? After all, not everyone is cut out for it.”
Ranita wanted tough. She was quite well-known at Kurima Foreign Studies University and in the trantion circle.
“Yeah, you’re right!” Ranita replied casually.
Lily felt awkward yet triumphant. “Is that so? My husband also owns a trantionpany. Ranita, if you want to find a job, why note to my husband’spany? Money won’t be a problem.”
Ranita thought her previous words would shut Lily up, but she didn’t expect Lily to take it seriously.
“Thank you for your kind offer. I’m taking a break recently, so there’s no rush,” Ranita replied calmly.
Lily then said sarcastically, “Ranita, you must be looking down on me!”
“With your studio gone, there’s nothing to be proud of.”
“Do you think you’re a princess, wanting everything you desire!” Lily continued, “Before, I often heard professors praise you, but I never thought much of it. Didn’t you say you made a lot of money by opening a studio? Look at your outfit; it’s not even a brand! And this bag… tsk tsk, no logo at all. I wonder where you bought it from, probably some roadside stall.”This belongs ? N?velDra/ma.Org.
