Chapter 327 Sending Peaches

“How do you know it’s force love? Maybe he’s willing!” Kora chuckled, and at that moment Chris walked in, holding severalrge peaches in his arms. The sun had made him sweat on his forehead and face, giving him a different kind of redness. Without the feeling of loneliness, he looked like an approachable brother.

“Ranita, help me with these,” Chris said as he handed Ranita a handful of peaches.? 2024 N?v/el/Dram/a.Org.

Ranita took them to the kitchen where the servants helped peel and cut them while she washed her hands with Chris beside her.

“Are you feeling hot? You’re sweating so much,” Ranita said as she noticed sweat dripping down his forehead into his eyes. She quickly grabbed some tissues to wipe it away for him.

“Thank you,” Chris leaned forward slightly towards her with warm breaths carrying a faint citrus scent. She suddenly felt embarrassed.

“Um… did any sweat get into your eyes?”

“No… thank you though!” After pausing for a moment, Chris seemed to sense her embarrassment and smiled at her saying ,”Eat more peachester; they’re very sweet. I’ll go wash my face; you can sit here first.”

    “Okay…” Ranita nodded awkwardly.

Luckily there were many peopleing in so Chris asionally chatted with wealthydies just like usual which relieved some pressure from Ranita who was no longer feeling as embarrassed anymore. However, it wasn’t long before Chris had to leave again for work.

Kora originally wanted to invite Ranita over for dinner and beauty treatments but since she was busy with something else she declined the invitation instead.

She had an evening project at Quiet Season Hotel conference center which was left over from before but because it required simultaneous trantion they offered high pay despite being short-term work due to their old customer rtionship which was why Ranita wanted toplete it anyway.

After finishing up the project, the boss invited her out for dinner but she declined since all she wanted now was just go homefortably without moving around too much.

Ranita went downstairs to the apartment building to buy takeout, massaging her sore shoulders as she returned home.

As she approached the door, her footsteps halted.

A man stood tall against the wall, seemingly impatient, as he reached for a cigarette to light it. Upon hearing footsteps, he looked up and immediately stuffed the cigarette into his pocket upon seeing Ranita.

    “Ranita, you’re back!”

“What are you doing here?” Ranita furrowed her brow. Wasn’t this person supposed to be with Shannon? Why did hee to her house?

“Let’s talk inside!” Brendon seemed tiredtely, exhaustion evident in his eyes.

Ranita didn’t move. “If you have something to say, say it here.”

“Ranita!” Brendon grabbed her arm, his voice hoarse with impatience. “Don’t make me repeat myself!”

    Ranita looked at him coldly.

“If you have something to say, then say it. If not, leave me alone.” She pushed his hand away. “I need to enter my password now, so please step back a bit.”

    Brendon was furious.

“Ranita…” He grabbed her hand and typed in the password with a series of beeps. When he got an error message, he nced at Ranita and typed it in again until the door opened.

Brendon chuckled lowly and picked up arge box from beside his feet before walking straight into the room.

    “Brendon! Get out!”

Ranita’s voice was urgent as she felt a hint of redness creeping up on her cheeks.

Brendon ced the box on the table and looked at Ranita who was ring at him fiercely. His tone wasmanding, “If you want peaches, I’ll buy them for you next time instead of bothering Chris.”

    Ranita was speechless.

So this guy came all this way just to bring her peaches? That was kind of ridiculous!
