If it were before, Eve would probably have stood up for Ranita.
But now that Ranita had decided to break up and let go of their rtionship, Eve supported her from the bottom of her heart. So Eve smiled and said, “Mr. Stuart, didn’t I just say it earlier? Ranita is going on a dinner date tonight.”
Pausing for a moment, Eve took out a piece of paper from the drawer and quickly wrote down the ce where Ranita will be going tonight before handing it over to Brendon.
Ranita received a message from Eve while in the car, “Baby, remember to take a picture with Jedidiah tonight. I want to see!” Of course she wouldn’t refuse such request.
When she arrived at the restaurant that Jedidiah booked, he was already there waiting for her with a bouquet of baby’s breath flowers in hand.
“Why are you suddenly giving me flowers?” Although she asked this question, Ranita still happily epted them with crescent-shaped eyes and smile on her face saying, “Thank you, brother.”
Jedidiah was dazzled by her smile but carefully controlled his emotions as he handed over a warm towel for her hands saying, “Wipe your hands.”
“Thank you!” replied Ranita softly as she raised an arc at the corner of lips showing off her wless cheeks.
“Don’t be so polite!” After pausing briefly, Jedidiah continued speaking, “I ordered your favorite steak just now, medium rare as usual. Is that okay?”
“Change it to well-done please. My stomach hasn’t been feeling welltely due to seasonal changes,” replied Ranita who dared not mention her pregnancy; she knew she couldn’t keep it a secret for long, but at least now was not the best time. Keeping her marriage a secret from the Bowman family was challenging enough, let alone adding a bunch of other troubles into the mix.
“Aren’t you too busy? You look thinner! With Stuart’s Corp being such hugepany, there must be lots work,” asked Jedidiah concernedly.
“I’ve resigned recently so I’m not really busy these days! Mainly because it’s hot outside which makes me lose my appetite,” answered Rantia who then changed topic. “I’ll probably go back to Stnd soon.”
“Really?” eximed Jedidiah excitedly with shining eyes asking, “How long do you n on staying? Let me call home right away so our servants can prepare…”
“Brother… I haven’t decided when exactly yet but we’ll talk about thister,” Ranita evaded the topic, and Jedidiah’s enthusiasm was dampened.N?velD(ram)a.?rg owns this content.
He gently suggested, “Since you’ll return to Stnd, why not go home? There’s a ce for you to stay. This way, I won’t feel uneasy.”
Ranita pursed her lips.
Jedidiah didn’t want to push her, so he smiled and said, “Let’s talk about itter! You can live wherever you like. Ranita… mom’s birthday ising up soon. If you can go back, she’ll be really happy!”
“And dad too.”
Jedidiah looked at Ranita with a soft heart.
Thest time Ranita went back to Stnd was three years ago when she was getting ready to marry Brendon. She was very nervous and had nned on going back to the Bowman family first but then met Chole.
“I know,” Ranita said with lowered eyshes. She was truly grateful for the Bowman family – Mr. Bowman, Mrs. Bowman, and Jedidiah had given her many beautiful memories that she would never forget.
“I’ve prepared a birthday gift for mom.” With that, Ranita opened her phone and handed it over to Jedidiah saying, “Take a look. Do you think mom will like it?”
“Let me see!” Jedidiah leaned in closer…
At the corner of the bar stood a tall and stern man tightly pressing his lips together as his gaze fixed unerringly on the woman’s brows and eyes.
This woman Ranita had no heart…
