Chapter 274 A Blessing In Disguise

Bet, his eyes clouded with confusion, echoed, “Sadness?”

He couldn’t grasp why Nathan saw sadness in his situation.

Nathan, speaking solemnly, pointed out, “The sniper’s real target was Finnegan. But why did he shoot

you after hitting Finnegan? Can’t you see the reason?”

Bet’s forehead creased as he began to understand the implication.

Stephen, catching on, eximed, “Grandpa, are you saying Reginald had a dual n tonight? Mr.

Sanchez as the front man and a sniper as backup?”

Nathan confirmed. “Exactly. If Mr. Sanchez had seeded, the sniper would’ve eliminated him, erasing

any trace back to Reginald. And if Mr. Sanchez failed, the sniper would finish off Finnegan and silence

    Mr.

    Sanchez.”

He clenched his fists, “That’s why I immediately enforced martialw in the city, to capture the sniper

    and corner Reginald!”

Bet, his expression turning icy, realized, “He wanted to kill me too?”

At that, he turned around, preparing to leave.

    Stephen, concerned, inquired, “Mr. Sanchez?”

“Let him be. If he didn’t harm Finnegan, he’ll die for inaction!” Nathan instructed.

Stephen grasped Nathan’s meaning. In the event of Finnegan’s death, the fallout would be

    catastrophic.

Then, Doom Star followed suit, prompting Stephen’s surprise. “Doom Star, where are you going?”

Doom Star silently continued forward, ignoring the call.

Discerning his intent, Nathan remarked, “He’s a devoted follower of Finnegan. The Sable family…

    they’re likely finished.”

Stephen, apprehensive, asked, “Grandpa, shouldn’t we intervene?”

Despite Bet’s injury, his status as a Grandmaster in the Preliminary Rank of Terra Realm remained.

Alongside him, Doom Star, whose skills were on par with a grandmaster’s, posed a formidable threat.

Should they act against the Sable family, the repercussions would be catastrophic, likely resulting in a

bloodbath and the potential copse of Regi Group, impacting the lives of countless individuals.

Nathan exhaled heavily. “If Finnegan were still with us, I’d have the power to restrain him. But in the

face of his uncertain condition, how can I intervene? And even if I halt Doom Star and his allies now,

what about Finnegan’s three disciples? Or the elderly gentleman?”

The possibility of halting the imminent violence was flecting and dependent on Finnegan’s survival.

Under his breath, Stephen remarked, “The Sable family has really stirred up a ho’s hest!”

At that moment, Keh emerged, his countenance etched with grief. “Old Mr. Wright, we tried

    everything in our power.”

Jerome, apanied by Alexander and several experts, appeared visibly enraged.

“Who dared to attack the Master? Old Mr. Wright, we must seek justice!” the former eximed.

Nathan’s face tensed with worry. “Dr. Magnussen, what’s Finnegan’s status?”

Jerome, struggling to hold back his tears, revealed the dire news. “It appeared a ss ball in his pocket

initially absorbed some of the bullet’s force. But after shattering the ss, the bullet still prated his

heart. He’s… He’s no longer with us.”

Nathan suddenly experienced a dizzy spell, causing him to stagger. Stephen quickly reached out to

    steady him, rmed, “Grandpa!”

Overwhelmed with the gravity of the situation, Nathan voiced his despair, “This is disastrous. With

Finnegan gone, not only the Sable family but our Wright family might face repercussions!”

Given Finnegan’s significant role and Durbaine’s high regard for him, the shock proved too much for

Nathan, a veteran with decades of military experience and a usually unshakableposure. His eyes

rolled back as he sumbed to unconsciousness.

“Mr. Magnussen, quickly, check on my grandfather!” Stephen called out, concerned that Nathan might

    have suffered an anxiety attack.

Amidst the ensuing chaos over Nathan’s copse, an extraordinary phenomenon urred in

    Finnegan’s

    room.

The supposed “ss shards” removed from his pocket began to emit an unusual glow, mingling with

the fresh blood. Some fragments radiated a ck light, while others shone with a yellow hue.

The shattered Great Monad Stone pieces started to exhibit a stunning spectacle.

ck and yellow fragments began to separate and rise, forming tendrils of light akin to jellyfish

    tentacles.

They merged to create two orbs of light, one ck and one yellow, reminiscent of the symbol of the

Great Monad, and gravitated toward Finnegan’s abdomen, seeping into it.

Following the absorption of the light orbs, Finnegan’s body convulsed slightly before calming down.

About half a minuteter, an astonishing event unfolded.

A faint yellow light emanated from Finnegan’s wound, and the bullet was miraculously expelled. The

wound then rapidly healed, visible to the naked eye.

In under a minute, the bullet wound at his heart hadpletely vanished, reced by a robust,

    rhythmic heartbeat.

Finnegan, previously thought to be dead, abruptly sat up, taking a deep, life-affirming breath.

Flexing his hands and examining his chest, now only stained with blood but devoid of any wound, he

expressed confusion, “How did I heal myself?”

    III

He closed his eyes, introspecting his internal elixir field, pondering the astonishing turn of events.

Momentster, Finnegan’s face broke into a vibrant smile as he reopened his eyes. “Well, what a

    blessing in disguise!”

Inside his elixir field, not only was there a solid foundation of spiritual energy, but he also discovered

two additional strands of energy-one brimming with life and vitality, the other teeming with dark,

    negative

    power.

It seemed he had fortuitously absorbed both energies from the Great Monad Stone fragments, which

    miraculously revived him!

While Finnegan was overjoyed, a surge of fury also engulfed him. “Reginald, you despicable old man!

No matter what, not a single member of the Sable family will witness tomorrow’s sunrise!”

His thoughts echoed Nathan’s earlier deduction about Reginald’s dual n.

Finnegan immediately leaped out of bed and rushed outside.  Updated at Dr?manovеls.cоm

Nathan, who had just regained consciousness, was stunned to see Finnegan. “Am I dead? Is that

    Finnegan’s ghost?”

Others followed Nathan’s gaze, stepping back in shock. Stephen eximed, “Finnegan, have you

    returned from the dead?”

Jerome, baffled, inquired, “Master, do you have any lingering regrets?”

Finnegan barked, “Quit the nonsense; I’m not dead! Out of my way!” as he stormed forward, radiating

    intense killing intent.

Realizing Finnegan was indeed alive, Nathan felt relieved but also apprehensive about his vengeful

intentions. He quickly got up, saying, “Finnegan, are you headed for the Sable residence? That might

    not be the best-”

Finnegan cut him off, “Enough! Had I not listened to your ‘greater good spiel, I wouldn’t have nearly

died. From now on, I’ll act first, against any threats. I won’t give my enemies a chance!”

This close encounter with death had sharpened Finnegan’s resolve to preemptively crush his foes. It

was the only way to ensure safety for himself and his loved ones.

Nathan, his expression darkening, realized he couldn’t dissuade Finnegan. “Stephen, contact your

Uncle Adam. Prepare for the economic fallout from the Sable family’s demise.”

Since it was impossible to stop Finnegan, he knew it was vital to mitigate the impact of the looming

    crisis.
