As soon as Avery Lamour walked through the door, she could tell something was wrong. She
noticed Joy Lamour’s car parked in the courtyard and assumed she had returned.
Joy would usually make a big deal about her arrival because she wanted everyone to know she was
home. It had never been quieter when Joy was present.
This silence made Avery even more concerned. A ss ashtray was thrown at her as soon as she
pushed the door open. She was stunned and experienced a sharp pain in her shoulder. She
clenched her teeth as cold sweat dripped from her brow. When she looked up and saw the two
people sitting on the sofa, her face turned pale.
Joy and Gil Lamour were both looking at her with cold and grim expressions.
“You still dare to return?! I told you to approach Wyatt Reed, but you came back here, not to
mention the huge mess you’ve made!”
Joy became enraged and hurled insults at Avery. She had been holding her rage inside while
waiting for Avery to return. She was unforgiving.

Gil directed his finger at Avery. “Your sister is correct. What is the point of having you as a member

contact the Reeds. You can marry Wyatt Reed as long as you can make him happy, but you can’t
even do that?”
Avery could only feel pain and coldness enveloping her. She had a shback to that night.

Joy sneered andughed exasperatedly.
“It’s understandable if you can’t handle Wyatt Reed, but why did you feel the need to offend Ivy
Morgan?” Her tone was cold and filled with hatred.
Avery came to a halt and raised her head.
“Are you still acting? Morgan Corporation has taken on our major project, which has been in the
works for over a year! Ivy clearly stated that she only took this away from us to teach you how to
behave properly!”
Joy Lamour scolded Avery Lamour with a glum expression. She finally had enough and went up to

Ivy chuckled lightly.
Wyatt introduced her to Gil Lamour, who was so snobbish about having Reed Corporation as a
