Wyatt didn’t even nce at Duke. He only smiled at Ivy. “What a fortuitous coincidence, Ivy. Why
don’t you push my wheelchair while I take you to meet Chairman Lamour?”

Ivy’s face was expressionless, but she was irritated by Gil’s annoying demeanor.
Wyatt’s brow furrowed slightly. “We’re still good friends after the divorce,” he said with a smile.

along.”
Ivy became disinterested in working with Gil Lamour because his words were ambiguous. His

Ivy turned around and walked away, a faint smile on her lips.

couldn’t help but feel sorry for her. She sat in a corner with a slice of cake.
A man took a seat beside her. It had to be Marco.
He untied his tie and appeared helpless. “I’m sorry for abandoning you when I brought you here.”
Ivy smiled and nodded, expressing her understanding. “Mr. Seely, you just returned to New York, so
naturally, people will want towork with you. It’s entirely understandable.”
Marco had a lot of wine earlier, so he was now slowly sipping a ss of sparkling water. “Mr. Reed
is here?” He was stunned for a moment as he looked over in the direction of Wyatt.
“Lamour Corporation?” Ivy was surprised that Marco recognized Gil Lamour even though he had
only recently returned to New York.
Marcoughed. “I was researching the investment climate in Western New York. Chairman Lamour
is a staunch conservative. He only works in the mines for a living, so it’s not looking promising.”
Ivy nodded in agreement.
“Did you hear he has a daughter, Joy Lamour?”
Ivy shook her head in disbelief. “That’s Avery Lamour standing next to him. He stated that she was
raised in another country.”
Marco let out a lightugh and crossed his legs. His aura wasmanding.
“Who is he trying to deceive? That is most likely his illegitimate daughter. His wife died not long ago,
so he could finally admit to having an illegitimate daughter.”
Ivy nodded with even more admiration, thinking, ‘Wow... I wasn’t expecting Marco to be so up-to-
date on gossip. He’s on par with Sebastian!’
