‘Mr. Reed wants to send me abroad?! That would be torturous inparison to my current
workload! Will I be able to return? Did he hear what I said earlier on the call?’ Rosie considered.
As she trembled, her panic spread from the soles of her feet to the crown of her head. She was well
aware of Wyatt’s current fondness for Ivy.
Wyatt was also a man who kept his promises.
Rosie immediately dialed Eva’s number and pleaded in tears.
Eva rushed over in less than an hour, enraged. She happened to run into Ivy, who was out
shopping.
Eva burst through the door, fuming. Without hesitation, she scolded Ivy, “You vixen! You’re divorced
and still seducing my son?! We allow you to reconcile, but you are feigning unhappiness and
unwillingness, yet here you are! How opportunistic can you be?”
Ivy cast a cold nce at Eva. Indeed, Eva was as heinous as a sever!
“I hope you’ll be a little more cautious with Mrs. Reed''s words. Do not believe that I will cave into
your demands simply because you are older.”

Rosie rushed over to Eva and sobbed.
“Madam, Mr. Reed wishes to move me out of the country. You must help me.”
Eva sneered and fixed her gaze on Rosie.
“Do not be concerned. Nobody will be able to send you away while I am present. You can feel
secure while staying here. Even if someone does not wish to see you, you may remain!”
Ivy cast a sarcastic smirk across her face. ‘Did Eva suffer from persecutory hallucinations? Was she
under the impression that I had asked Rosie to leave?’

“Who are you monitoring?” Wyatt’s voice was icy as he fought back his rage.
Ken was standing directly behind Wyatt.
Eva took a look at Wyatt and rushed over. “Wyatt, thisdy...”
“I previously informed you. Piper will be unable to return for another ten years if you cause trouble
again.”
His voicecked warmth and carried a chill.
Eva’s face flushed. “I’m doing this for your good!” she eximed, enraged.
“Preserve it.” Wyatt’s teeth gnashed as he said this.
Eva aimed her finger at Ivy. Her voice was hoarse, and her face was savage.
“Didn’t you see how she just treated me? Do you wish for me to kneel at her feet?”
Ivy gave a coldugh and shifted her gaze to Eva.
“Mrs. Reed, my demeanor is adequate. You should not expect things to remain the same as they
were previously, nor should you seek out ways to step on me. I’m considered generous for not
retaliating against you, so count your blessings.”
Eva’s body trembled in response to her words.
“How could you?! My son’s leg is paralyzed to save you!”
“Yes, your son saved me, but how does that rte to you? Should I express my gratitude to you?
Don’t you believe that you have an unrealistic view of yourself? Don Reed did notment, but
you’ve traveled here to unt your presence.”
“Ivy Morgan, you have the audacity...”
“Mrs. Reed, it is perfectly eptable if this maid does not leave. In any case, I can always send her

Ivy nced at Rosie as she spoke. Her tone was one of sarcasm.

Wyatt would call Eva whenever he was homesick from when he was sent abroad to receive special
training at the age of five. Eva, on the other hand, who was busy shopping, would simply tell him
impatiently to persevere and grow.
Eva would then inform Don Reed that Wyatt had secretly called her in exchange for Wyatt receiving
a beating.
‘Now that I’m an adult, she believes she can exert control over me? How absurd!’ Wyatt’s lips
curved into a bitter, heavy smile.
“If you are expelled from the Reed family, I will no longer be your son.”
Eva’s body trembled violently. Her face darkened instantly.
Eva never imagined Wyatt would say such words, not even in her dreams.
Wyatt’s face gradually collected his emotions. When he looked at Ivy’s departing back, his brows
were rxed, and his gaze was gentle and soft.
Wyatt’s eyes glowed with longing.
Eva felt as if she were about to copse at that point. ‘My daughter is not in the house. My son has
never treated me as a mother, and even Ivy dares to mock me! How could she?! I am
the Reed family’s matron!’
She was so enraged that her body trembled.
‘It is entirely Ivy’s fault! Nothing would have changed had it not been for her.’
She had only one thought—for Ivy to vanish at the moment.
Eva nced around and noticed the fruit knife in the table’s fruit bowl. She was adamant. She
snatched up the knife and dashed out the door.
Wyatt was taken aback. He attempted to stand. However, excruciating pain in his right leg rendered
him immobile.
“Ivy, be careful!” he screamed.
Ivy was about to turn around when Bill yanked her to the right. Ivy was unable to react because it
urred so quickly.
“Go to hell!”
Eva screamed from behind Ivy, her eyes bloodshot.
Ivy ducked as a sh of cold light appeared behind her.
Eva swung the fruit knife erratically at Ivy. She tripped and fell unexpectedly.
The fruit knife ended up sinking into her stomach.
Instantaneously, blood gushed out.
Ivy was taken aback for a brief moment. She looked at Eva, lying on the ground in agony, her eyes
rapidly dwindling in vitality.
Rosie copsed in shock and sobbed. “Do not frighten me, Madam! Are you okay?!”
Wyatt’s face flushed with surprise and rage. His eyes flitted open.
Bill opened the car door for Ivy expressionlessly.
“Miss, be careful with your head.”
Ivy lowered her eyes and entered the car immediately.
Bill cast a nce behind her at Eva and Wyatt.
“The car’s dashcam captured evidence of Mrs. Reed’s attempted murder moments ago. Ms.
Morgan retains the right to pursue this regardless of Mrs. Reed’s injuries.”
Numerous subsequentplications could have been avoided with a brief statement.
Rosie, kneeling behind Eva, raised her eyes in surprise at them.
Eva’s face was hideous, but shecked the strength to say anything.
The engine of the car roared to life.

“Do you wish to return to Morgan Mansion, Miss?”
Ivy’s nose was scrunched up. “Not quite yet. If I leave in that state, it will appear as though I am
guilty. They are the ones who are at fault.”
She was not looking for trouble.
Eva purposefully came over to cause a scene.
Eva’s lower abdomen wound did not prove fatal. She would simply lose a great deal of blood and
endure the pain.
‘She has earned the right to be in this situation!!’ Ivy deemed this without the slightest trace of guilt.
