Chapter 95
Wyatt’s thin lips parted, but he couldn’t think of anything to say.
Sebastian cocked his head back and sipped anotherrge swig of alcohol. He spoke carelessly. “My
father hired eight nannies to look after Ivy while she was studying in Europe, but she secretly fired
them. Cooper wanted to make thirty trips per month just to cook for her. Ryan sent her all the
bonuses he received from his research. In my case, I only shot films set in that period. Even back
then, we thought it was the farthest she’d ever been from us. But then,” he paused and heaved a
sigh.
“She tied the knot with you. She didn’t contact us for three years andpletely cut off all her social
circles. Wyatt Reed, she thought you were more important than her family, but what did you do?”
Sebastian’s voice staggered as uncontroble tears streamed down his cheeks. He wiped the
droplets away casually and tilted his head to chug the bottle dry.
Ken and the pilot sat in the front, not daring to move in a dangerous situation.
The air was filled with a deafening silence.
Wyatt couldn’t hear the earth-shattering sound of his heart, but he could feel someone viciously
gouging out his heart, crushing and grinding it before dumping it far away from his body.
Sebastian looked at Wyatt’s bloodless face. Under the influence of alcohol, his chest felt
unrestrained. They all agreed that they couldn’t me Wyatt because he didn’t cause the ident
and didn’t control the ne.
Sebastian couldn’t help but think that if it hadn’t been for Wyatt, Ivy would never have been on that
ne in the first ce! Then he’d still have a little sister, and there’d be someone who wasted his
money.
She could afford to buy a yacht, a mansion, or an ind. She’d be alive today!
Sebastian rose to his feet. The cold wind caused his clothes to flutter and his hair to tangle.
He stood up unconcerned, tossing the bottle into the air, and vanished into the sea.
“Wyatt Reed, please return. It’s already toote, whether due to guilt or something else. Go back to
your normal life.”
Wyatt’s brow furrowed in sadness. His voice had be hoarse and depressed. “I’m not going
anywhere. If she’s still there—”
“Huh?” Sebastian grinned coldly. His tears continued to flow uncontrobly down his cheeks. His
eyes remained cold as he spoke. “You have no idea who she is, Wyatt Reed. Ivy can’t swim.”
As a result, there was no ‘if.’ The vast ocean had already engulfed her. The silence in the air
exuded a cold and gloomy vibe.
Sebastian’s final words were the straw that broke Wyatt’s back. His face had turned worse and as
white as paper.
Wyatt clenched his fists so tightly that his arms trembled, and veins bulged. Would it be surprising if
a person who couldn’t swim fell into the sea? No.
He didn’t know anything about her. He didn’t even realize she couldn’t swim! What a joke! ‘It’s a joke
to think that this is my way of showing her how much I love her.’
The helicopter’s roar suddenly amplified several times, ringing in his ears.
‘No, maybe Sebastian is deceiving me!’
Wyatt took a few steps forward as if to ask a question. His body shook and staggered all of a
sudden. His grip on the cabin door loosened, and he leaned forward.
Wyatt noticed Ivy smiling at him while half his body was outside the helicopter, staring at the deep,
dark sea.
‘This should be the way. In any case, I should’ve been on that ne with her.’
Everyone was taken aback. “President. Be careful.”
The cold wind scraped against his face, stinging. The salty spray from the waves mingled with
surges and billows.
Sebastian grabbed Wyatt’s arm and yanked him back, then shut the door with his left hand.
The cabin door was closed, keeping the dark sea out. “What’s the matter with you, Reed? Will you
bring my sister back if you do this? She’s already gone! For whom are you behaving in this
manner?”
Wyatt’s earlier actions seemed to be a deliberate act of letting go of life.
Ken sat beside Wyatt because he was afraid, he would do something stupid again. “Are you okay,
President?”
Wyatt’s eyes were shut tight. Hey motionless on the seat, with no reaction.
Ken subconsciously ced his fingers over Wyatt’s carotid pulse, sighed in relief, and smiled
gratefully at Sebastian. “Thank you, Mr. Morgan. President Reed must have been exhausted
because he hadn’t slept in several days.”
Sebastian looked at Wyatt with perplexed eyes. “Bring him back. Leave your workforce here to
assist me.”
Ken immediately agreed with a nod.
If Sebastian refused the workforce, he’d have to worry about Wyatt skinning him alive when he
awoke.
Sebastian summoned someone to pick him up, hung up the phone, and observed Ken, who
appeared hesitant to speak.
“Is there something wrong?”
Before opening his mouth, Ken pursed his lips and thought about it. “Mr. Morgan, I know you were
saying all of that just now to get President Reed to back down.”
Sebastian averted his gaze. It didn’t matter if Ken guessed his intentions or not. He wasn’t a saint,
but he wasn’t cruel enough to stand by and watch Wyatt destroy himself.
“After President Reed and Ms. Morgan divorced, he reflected on the past. Since then, he’s been in
excruciating pain. He did not intend to cause some misunderstandings, but they harmed Ms.
Morgan inadvertently. He was always trying to make amends but to no avail. But, Mr. Morgan,
President Reed never fakes his emotions. His regret was genuine, as were his feelings for Ms.
Morgan,” Ken added.
Ken felt he had overstepped his bounds and said too much when he said those words. What would
Ms. Morgan think if she heard those words?
For a few seconds, Sebastian was deafeningly quiet. But he didn’t stay and went to the other
helicopter.
When he arrived at a passenger ship below, he looked at the sky. He had to admit that if it hadn’t
been for the numerous events between Wyatt and Ivy, those two would have been a match made in
heaven in every way.
Sebastian’s chest burst with grief. He didn’t care if Wyatt had feelings for Ivy because she would
never return. He stood on the deck, ignoring the chill of the sea breeze on his face.
With a few unpolished traces, that beautiful, wless face had turned pale. His once-glittering eyes
were now dull with sadness.Content rights by N?velDr//ama.Org.
