Introduction: The devastation has occurred, the current world is plumbed into chaos and everything is thrown off balance. The surface has succumbed to an eternal winter, while the tunnels and caves underground are filled to the top with creatures of unimaginable shapes and forms, that can alter your mind and bring death in seconds. Humanity is on their last verge of extinction and a currently hanging by a single thread.But there鈥檚 hope, or so it seems. The Last Shelter is still unfound. It is rumored to be the ultimate savior, a beacon of hope created by humanity before the devastation occurred when they were at their highest peak, their golden age.Most humans are currently living behind bunkers and crudely made shelters that barely give any type of protection to the horrors around them, whether that鈥檚 the hellish winter that鈥檚 always present or the dark creatures with an unsatisfying hunger for human flesh.The only way forward is to make a leap of faith, to search for the slightest bit of hope.*Author's note*Thank you for giving a try to this very amateur work. It is my first ever novel written. I am not one to have the habit of writing stories and such, but decided to give this little crazy idea of mine a try. You will see a lot of errors, improper sentences, things that do not connect, plot holes, or similar occurrences all throughout this novel.
