-VEA-
“What are you doing?”
I glowered at him. “What do you mean?”
“What are you trying to do?”
“I was attacked - “ I said, and my voice broke. “You came to save me again.”
He just watched me in silence.
“Ruthlow, thank you so much! I - “
“No,” he said. “That’s not it.”
I opened my mouth, and only gibberish came out.
He took one step towards me, and my head tilted back to look him in the eyes. “I know you, Vea. Better than you know yourself.”If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it.
“You know nothing,” I said, a tear rolling down my cheek.
“Do you seriously think that I don’t know what you’re trying to do?”
I bit my lips. “Shut up.”
“You set this poor guy up, and led me here on purpose. This was all your doing,” he said. “You knew I’d be tracking you, and you showed me where you were by screaming. You planned all of this - “
“I didn’t!”
“Vea!” he screamed. I jumped.
“What?!”
Dead silence.
“Fuck you!” I yelled. “You think my life is easy?! You think I’m playing a game? You don’t know anything!”
He simply watched me.
“I have nothing! I have nobody!” I shouted. “I’ve never felt happiness in my life before! I’ve never felt even the slightest life in anything I do! I’m just a fucking corpse coasting through every day! You have no idea what that’s like! You don’t know anything! All I ever wanted is to know that all the pain is worth it!”
He exhaled loudly as he bent to my eye level. “You are just fucking insane, aren’t you?”
I glared at him, tears running down my cheeks. “Fuck you!” Then sent a slap flying across his cheek.
He straightened his back after recovering from the slap. “This is going to end,” he said.
“Wait!”
But he left.
