    them! She could not trust him. If she had lost confidence in him, why did he need to exin? It was

    when running back in the rain.


    She was worried that his answer would upset her and afraid that she seemed meaningless to him. She

    She looked down and remained silent. She took a deep breath and slowly said, “Mr White, can you tell


    me that it was not you?”
