Chapter 1039 Have a Drink


    Gideon discovered that Charlotte was avoiding him.


    “You seem to be avoiding metely,” Gideon casually asked Charlotte when

    Charlotte hesitated for a moment and forced a smile. “No, no, I’ve just been

    “Is that so?” Gideon smiled warmly, hiding his disappointment, “I might have


    been overthinking it, then.”


    Charlotte nced at her watch. “I have an appointment with Lena, so I should go now.”


    Gideon didn’t get a chance to express his affection but could only nod and


    watch Charlotte leave.


    After that, Gideon gradually lost interest in her. But Charlotte grew closer to


    Lena instead until they all sessfully graduated.

    remains cold even when you’re smiling at others.”


    Gideon looked into the nearby mirror, seeing a reflection of himself with a hint

    He chuckled, “Maybe that’s why Charlotte rejected me.”

    thoughts. He had always been adored and pursued by others, so being


    rejected now must have been a blow to him.
