    Chapter 721 Inside the Trunk


    She gestured to Charlotte and quietly moved to the rear of the car. On the other


    hand, Charlotte held onto Mr. River, and the two retreated in silence.


    It wasn’t until they had moved to a safe distance that Mandy abruptly opened


    the trunk.


    A woman curled up inside the trunk appeared before everyone.


    “It’s Zoey!”

    “You want to run away? How dare you to hide in my car! I think you’re tired of


    living!” Mandy yelled angrily.


    Seeing Zoey in person, Charlotte realized that she was even smaller and more


    fragile than she had appeared in the videos.


    Her skin was deathly pale, and her long bangs almost covered her eyes. Her


    stark ck-and-white eyes were locked onto Charlotte as if she wanted to etch


    her into her mind.


    Charlotte gazed back at her dispassionately. Upon seeing her in person, she no


    longer felt the disgust and fear she had experienced earlier.


    “How did you get into the car?” Mandy snapped at her, not holding back. If she


    hadn’t been so frail and fragile, Mandy would have given her a good p to


    teach her a lesson.


    Zoey finally nced at Mandy and mumbled something.


    Unfortunately, her voice was too soft, and even though Mandy was standing


    right next to her, she couldn’t make out what she was saying.


    Charlotte noticed that she was tightly gripping her pen, and her brow furrowed.


    “Why did you steal my pen? What were you nning by hiding in the trunk?”


    Charlotte couldn’t believe someone had silently hidden in the trunk, and she had


    even gone back with her, separated by just one seat.


    The creepy feeling swept over her whole body again.


    Upon hearing Charlotte speaking to her, Zoey’s eyes lit up, and she kept


    muttering, “Miss Clinton is talking to me! She’s talking to me! The distance


    between us has gotten closer!”


    She waspletely immersed in her own world, paying no attention to anyone


    else.


    Charlotte frowned, suspecting that Zoey might not be entirely normal.


    Mandy had lost her patience, giving a firm p on her head. “Don’t think your


    craziness will save you. I’m calling the police right now.”


    Even after being pped, Zoey showed no reaction and instead gazed even


    more obsessively at Charlotte.


    Even Mr. River, who did not know about what was happening, sensed


    something was amiss and silently positioned himself in front of Charlotte.


    Unable to see Charlotte, Zoey suddenly became agitated and rushed towards


    her as if wanting to hug her.

    This action drove Zoey into a frenzy.


    She produced a dagger from somewhere and viciously thrust it toward Mandy.


    Mandy deftly twisted her wrist, causing Zoey to fall to the ground.

    insane or faking it. Right now, you’re going to the police station!”
