    After that,Marie left San Fetillo and went to Alsburg City. After more than ten years of hard work, she


    became a famous specialist. But this was not the life she wanted. If it wasn''t for Steven and Myra, she

    friends, thus she knew Margaret very well. The Myers family were simple-minded people. Margaret was


    snobbish and wanted to have a grandson. With this information, Marie and Deborah came up with a


    vicious n. They would let Loraine secretly drug Irene while staying in the Myers family so Irene could


    never get pregnant.


    For two years, Irene and Edric had no children. Margaret brought Irene to the hospital for a check-up

    for check-ups, Marie and Deborah would always interfere and switch out the reports. Hence, Irene had


    no clue at all about what was going on with her body.


    Since they knew that Irene would never be able to have a child, they started to focus on how to get Lily


    and Edric together.


    Everything was going as they nned. Edric eventually gave in to Margaret and agreed to get a


    surrogate.


    Lily was sessfully impregnated. As long as she could give birth to a child, Irene would be kicked out


    of the picture. However, something went wrong with the pregnancy. In the end, Marie and Deborah


    agreed to expose Lily''s identity to Irene and get rid of Irene at the same time.

    After seeing Irene''s jade pendant, which was the same as hers, Rowane firmly believed that Irene must


    be somehow rted to her. Edric thought the same, hence naturally, the investigation began with Myra.


    He put in a lot of effort to find out more about Myra. He uncovered that Dania had remarried and a


    rtive had raised Myra and Thomas. Later, after their rtive died, a kind person had adopted them


    to Cat Alley. Therefore, Edric and Rowane went to Cat Alley to further their investigations.


    Yohannes'' servant was the one who adopted Myra and Thomas back to Cat Alley. Although they lived


    there, they did not have much contact with the people around them; thus, no one really knew anything


    about the two either.


    All they knew was Myra married a government official. After she settled down, she took Thomas and


    her adoptive father away. As for where they went, nobody really knew. Some said they bought a house


    in San Fetillo; some said they went to another city.


    Edric guessed that Myra never took them away at all. Instead, she let them stay in Chijmes Building,


    and that was why Thomas had always been there.


    However, Edric did manage to uncover one clue. Around twenty years ago, Myra had stayed in Cat


    Alley for a period of time. It was winter then and she wore thick clothes, making her look a little chubby.


    Besides Sugar, no one had seen Myra interacting with anyone else.


    Sugar was Deborah''s nickname. The person who had mentioned this had mistaken Marie for Myra


    since they looked alike. Furthermore, they never had much contact back then. It was only expected that


    others would confuse the two.


    "Wasn''t Myra already married to Steven at the time? Why would she return to Cat Alley? Also was she


    chubby because she was pregnant?"


    Edric felt like something wasn''t adding up. ording to his calctions, Irene would already have


    been a few years old by then. Why would Myra leave Irene behind and go stay in Cat Alley for so long?


    More importantly, Deborah was pregnant with Lily at the time. Rowane and Lily are about the same


    age. Could it be that Myra hade to Cat Alley to give birth to a child?

    Edric was shocked at the photos. Although the photos were old and a little yellow, the faces could be


    seen clearly. Dave indeed looked exactly like Thomas, and Qiana looked exactly like Marie.


    "What the hell is going on?" Edric was puzzled. He couldn''t understand the connection between

    found him?"

    Sinir''s mention of it.


    Sinir picked up the photo and looked at it. He told Edric positively, "This is the amazing designer


    Dave! I met him once when I went to Fransburg to study."


    "Isn''t Dave from Fransburg?" asked Edric.


    "At first I thought he was, but I found outter that he wasn''t. He is from Havend but he keeps his


    identity a secret. It''s rare to see him in the news. I''ve only met him once at an engineering fair. He was


    in a hurry and left after a few minutes. I noticed that the Fransburg people were all very polite to him. I


    asked around and found out he was Dave," exined Sinir.


    "Do you know his full name by any chance?" Edric passed the photos to John.


    "No I don''t." Sinir shook his head.


    Sinir talked to Edric for a while and left. Edric waved to John toe over. "When you were


    investigating Dave, did you manage to find out that he had gone to study in Fransburg?"


    John nodded. "Yes. I am about to reach that part of the report."


    Edric massaged his forehead. It was all so strange. "Is Thomas'' real name Dave? Then where is the


    actual Thomas?"


    No matter how Edric thought about it, it didn''t make sense. The Thomas in his mind was so honest and


    simple. How could he be rted to that genius designer Dave?


    Edric pondered for a moment and ordered John to call thepany''snguage interpreter over. He


    asked the interpreter to call Thomas in French, and the call was soon connected. French was the


    officialnguage of Fransburg. The interpreter asked in French, "Excuse me, are you Mr. Bush?"


    Thomas replied in French, "No, you''re mistaken!"


    The interpreter hung up the phone after saying sorry in French. Edric and John stood beside him and


    had heard clearly Thomas answered in French. Edric waved his hand, indicating for the interpreter to


    leave.

    After Thomas graduated from junior high, he dropped out of school and stayed at home. Edric, at this
