Chapter 138: Can You Make It?
Estelle still didn’t get Bob and asked in confusion, “What does everyone’s being so busy have to do
with Mr. Roberts’ mother?”
“s, it’s a long story,” Bob said helplessly. “Mr. Roberts doesn’t have a good rtionship with his
family. His mother always urges him to get married as soon as possible, but he doesn’t want to go
on the blind date that she arranges, so he makes an excuse and says that he is busy visiting
customers every day and doesn’t have time. Mrs. Roberts then got angry and directly ordered five
hundred sets of jewelry in ourpany.”
“Five hundred sets?!” Estelle was shocked.
“Yes, you didn’t mishear. Ourpany is mainly engaged in custom-made jewelry, and we can only
take one hundred orders at most every year. What Old Mrs. Roberts did means that we don’t need
to take orders from other customers in the next five years. Now Mr. Roberts has no excuse to refuse
the blind dates because he doesn’t have much work to do daily.”
Estelle couldn’t understand Mr. Roberts’ behaviour.
“What’s the point of her doing so? She can’t force Mr. Roberts to marry a woman he doesn’t love,”
she said.
Hearing this, Bob gave her a meaningful look as if saying, “You know nothing about the rich
families,” and said, “The marriages between the people in the rich families are all based on
interests. Love doesn’t matter to them.”
“For example, the Hans family’s son and the Hudson family’s daughter were engaged since
childhood just because their families wanted to form an interest alliance. As for whether they love
each other or not, who knows? Maybe their marriage is painful, but they must pretend to be intimate
in front of the outsiders.”
Estelle didn’t expect that she would be taken as an example in such a situation.
With an awkward smile, she said, “Alright. I see.”
Bob nodded and then continued, “Now we have to design five hundred styles of jewelry and ensure
that Mrs. Roberts is satisfied with them, so the wholepany is very busy. But we don’t have
enough designers at all. Fortunately, you are back. You can design jewelry fast. With you here, we’ll
be able to finish the designs soon.”
At this time, the door of the VIP room was suddenly opened, and Tim came out with a darkened
face, which startled Bob.
“Mr. Roberts, what can I do for you? Tell me, and I’ll do it right now. I hope I can share your
burdens,” Bob immediately came forward and said respectfully.
“You can’t,” Tim said with a meaningful smile.
“Believe me, Mr. Roberts. I will try my best to do whatever you want me to do for you,” Bob said.
“You can’t, but she can,” Tim said as he shifted his gaze to Estelle.
“Me?” Estelle was stunned.
“Yes, yes!” Bob nodded repeatedly and said, “Miss Hudson is a top designer in ourpany. Mrs.
Roberts will be satisfied if Miss Hudson can design jewelry for her on the spot.”
Hearing this, Tim looked at Estelle up and down and asked, “Can you make it?”
Estelle took a deep breath and nodded. “Mr. Roberts, I’ll have a try.” She was confident about her
design ability.
“Okay,” Tim said. Then he grabbed her wrist and pulled her into the VIP room without hesitation.
When Bob was about to follow them in, Tim closed the door directly without looking at him.
In the VIP room, Tim introduced Estelle to Mrs. Roberts, “Mom, this is my girlfriend.”
‘What?! Estelle froze and was dumbfounded.’
Hearing his words, Mrs. Roberts was also a little stunned. With doubts in her eyes, she carefully
looked at Estelle up and down, and she asked with her face full of disbelief, “She’s your girlfriend?”
“Yes, she is,” Tim answered with a calm look.
“Tim, are you crazy?” Mrs. Roberts stood up at once and said in a cold voice, “The girls I introduced
to you before are all from good families. Their families can’tpare to our family, but they are at
least powerful and influential in Hadale. You... Why did you choose such... such an ordinary
woman?” She paused for a moment when she thought about how to describe Estelle.
Estelle suddenly thought that Mrs. Roberts was much kinder than the other richdies that she had
met. She could see that Mr. Robert had wanted to describe her with a worse word, but as a richdy
with good manners, she finally chose not to say anything hurtful.
“I just like this type of woman. I think an ordinary woman like her is very good. Reba is beautiful,
so what? She abandoned Justin and married someone else. So many years have passed, but
Justin still can’t get over her. I know how painful he has been these years. I don’t want to be like
him. I just want to marry an ordinary woman. At least she won’t leave me.”
Mrs. Roberts was so angry that blue veins stood out on her temples. “Don’t take Justin as your
shield. It’s understandable that he still loves Reba and is unwilling to get married to others. But
why don’t you want to get married, either?”
Tim raised his eyebrows with a smile, suddenly put his arm around Estelle, and said, “When did I
say I don’t want to get married? I have a girlfriend now, and I want to marry her. But you are
opposed to it, Mom.”
“You... Okay. Now tell me about your girlfriend’s name, her job, how you two got to know each other,
and her background,” Mrs. Roberts said.
Tim then lowered his head and asked Estelle in a low voice, “What’s your name?”
“So you don’t even know her name?” Mrs. Roberts asked as she stared at Tim with her eyes wide
open.
“Does it matter?” Tim said. “Mom, I also don’t know the names of the girls that you introduced to me
before.”
Mrs. Roberts was out of breath and copsed on the sofa as her face turned bloodless.
“Mom!” Tim became flustered when seeing her like this. “Mom, what’s wrong with you?”
“She may suffer from high blood pressure or cardiovascr disease,” Estelle said with a serious
expression after walking over and checking on Mrs. Roberts. “Open the windows and let the fresh
air in!”
Tim then hurried to open all the windows of the VIP room.
Estelle took a deep breath and said, “No offence, Mrs. Roberts, but I have to do this.”
Then she quickly opened Mrs. Roberts’ handbag and rummaged through it. Soon, she found a few
medicine bottles and picked one. Then she poured out a pill and put it into Mrs. Roberts’ mouth.
Seeing this, Tim immediately came over and pulled her away. “What did you feed to my mother? Do
you know the dosage she should take once?”
Being pulled hard by him, Estelle felt a sharp pain in her arm and, meanwhile, a dull pain in her
incision. She frowned tightly with a pale face and slowly squatted in the corner with her eyes closed,
hoping the pain could fade away soon.N?vel(D)ra/ma.Org exclusive ? material.
