Chapter 96: Did I Make Myself Clear Enough?
Melody was having a facial treatment with her friends when she received the call from Gretchen.
Now that she was rich, she spent a lot of money every day and enjoyed a luxurious life as much as
she wanted to; seemingly, only in this way could she make up for what she had suffered before. And
she always invited her friends out to have fun and paid the bill for them when they went shopping.
“Mom, Cristofer seems to have known the truth of the ident! What should I do?” Gretchen’s
anxious voice came from the other end of the line.
With a facial mask on her face, Melody didn’t panic when hearing this. Instead, she asked calmly,
“How did he find it?”
“Maybe he began to suspect me when he knew the truth about Mrs. Moorsum’s death. He said that
a policeman told him that the one who benefited the most in the car ident would likely be the
suspect. Then he suspected Dad and us.”
Hearing this, Melody frowned and asked, “Did you say anything to him these days? Why did he
suddenly suspect you?”
Gretchen was so nervous that she almost went crazy. Hearing Melody’s questions, she felt annoyed
and said snappishly, “We’ve only seen each other once these days. He seems to be avoiding me. I
called him many times these days but couldn’t get through. I don’t even have a chance to talk to
him. How is it possible I say anything to let him suspect me?”
Suddenly, Melody sat up, and the facial mask on her face fell. “What happened? Why can’t you get
through when you called him?”
“I don’t know. He seems to have blocked me. He just came to my ce just now and said he spat
the breakup words after our conversation. Mom, what should I do now?”
Melody was a little angry and yelled, “Why are you so useless? How could you let him break up with
you? By the way, haven’t you got the address of Hans’ Residence yet?”
“Not yet. He doesn’t allow me to talk with him at all!”
“Gretchen, listen to me. To control Cristofer, you must know what he cares most about. Back then,
what he cared about most was his parents. Therefore, I plotted the car ident to kill Cristofer’
parents and made him fall into despair so that you could meet him at the right time. Now he cares
about his daughter with Estelle. As long as you know where the baby is, Cristofer will not break up
with you so easily. Did I make myself clear enough?”
At the moment, Gretchen’s mind was a mess, and she couldn’t understand what Melody had said at
all. In a rattle, she said, “Mom, please help me. I really can’t get the address.”
After thinking for a while, Melody said, “To raise a child, milk powders and diapers are necessary.
Cristofer must have asked his assistant to buy these things for his daughter. You can go to his
assistant and try to get his online shopping records. I’m pretty sure those necessities would be sent
to the Hans’ Residence. It would be no sweat to get the exact address.”

It has been raining these days.
When Reba came to the hospital, half of her sleeve was wet.
After entering Estelle’s ward, she put the lunch box on the table and took out a few pieces of tissues
to wipe the water on her clothes. Then she sighed and said, “Why does it rain every day? If it goes
on like this, Hadale will be a city of water.”
Noticing that the tissues in her hand were used up, Estelle took out a few more pieces and handed
them to her as she said, “Reba, you don’t have toe and bring food to me in such poor
weather. I can eat in the hospital cafeteria.”
“But the food in the hospital is not delicious!” Reba said as she pointed at the lunch box on the
table and winked at her. “Guess who cooked the food today.”
Estelle blinked her eyes and said in confusion, “You cooked it? But I remember that you can’t cook.
I know that your Mom cooked the food I ate in the past few days. So, did you cook for me in person
today?”
Reba pouted and said, “Hey, don’t look down upon me. I just don’t like cooking. As long as I
learn to cook, I can also cook well.”
Hearing this, Estelle chuckled. “Okay. You can learn to cook from me when I’m discharged from the
hospital.”
“Eh? I remember that you never cook too. I guess that your cooking skills are not better than mine. I
still remember that when we were in high school, Cristofer once skipped a ss and climbed over
our school wall to buy you spicy grilled squids. Tut-tut, it was really touching. Oh, my mouth waters
when I think of the grilled squids,” Reba said.
There was a snack street behind their high school campus, and the food sold there was all very
cheap and delicious. Although the sanitation condition there was not good, the street was still very
popr.
Back then, Aurora was very strict with Estelle and didn’t allow her to eat outside randomly. But
Estelle was particrly greedy for the spicy grilled squids, so she always said that she wanted to
eat them. Therefore, Cristofer specially sneaked out of the school and bought some for her. After
returning, he secretly took Estelle to the school grove and gave her the grilled squids. Afraid of
being discovered by others, he blocked her with his school uniform.
When Estelle finished the squids with satisfaction, she surprisingly found that many people
surrounded them.
Cristofer’s good friend Louis was bent double withughter and said, “Cristofer, your clothes are
almost turned into a painting by Estelle!”
It was only when Estelle heard what he said that she took a look at Cristofer. Just now, she was
afraid that her shirt would be stained with the sauce and her mother would find that she had eaten
the snacks, so all her attention was on her own clothes. However, she was so careless that she
sshed the sauce on Cristofer’ shirt while eating.
Looking at his shirt, she felt embarrassed. However, Cristofer didn’t me her. Instead, he calmly
took off his shirt directly and threw it into the trash can in front of everyone. Then he put on his
school uniform, held her hand, and walked through the crowd.
When he passed by Louis, he said with a meaningful smile, “I won’t wear a shirt tomorrow. If she
sshes the sauce on me again, I’ll let her lick it clean for me.”
