Chapter 75: An Interview At Only Love Jewelry
She took a deep breath and reminded herself that the most important thing for her today was to get
the job.
A few minutester, she arrived at Only Love Jewelry.
“Hello, my name is Estelle. I’m here for an interview,” Estelle said to the receptionist.
The receptionist immediately said with a smile, “You are Miss Hudson, right? Miss Miller just called
and specifically told me that her friend woulde here for an interview. Come with me, please.”
Then she took Estelle to a meeting room upstairs. “Miss Hudson, here we are.”
The wall of the meeting room was made of ss, and everything in it could be seen clearly from the
outside.
Suddenly Estelle saw Gretchen and Cristofer sitting in the meeting room. She was stunned and
thought, ‘Are they the customers who ced the big order?’
“Miss Hudson, are you okay?” the receptionist asked when she saw Estelle in a daze.
“Well, I’m okay,” Estelle said and deeply breathed.
“You may go in quickly. The customers have been waiting here for a while. Just a reminder, they are
demanding but are our big clients. You need to watch your mouth and behave properly when talking
with them. We can’t lose them.”
Estelle nodded. “I see. I’ll try my best.”
Then she took a deep breath again and adjusted her emotion. After that, she opened the door and
walked in.
There were only three people in the huge meeting room. Gretchen and Cristofer were sitting side by
side, and a man in a suit and leather shoes was sitting opposite them and ttering them.
When Estelle came in, her movement attracted the attention of the trios.
The moment Cristofer saw her, his eyes widened. Gretchen was also stunned, and she stared at
Estelle with resentment.
As for the man in a suit, when he saw Estelle, he asked with his voice full of dissatisfaction, “You
are the designering here for the interview?”
Estelle nodded. “Yes, I am. My name is Estelle.”
The man looked her up and down with distrust in his eyes. “Did Miss Miller rmend you here?”
“Yes.”
“She said that you are a... rare genius designer.” the man said hesitantly.
Estelle was speechless and thought Reba had exaggerated the description of her.
“Well, Reba said that out of kindness because she wanted to help me get the interview,” she
said with an embarrassed look.
The man still looked at her with dissatisfaction. “Well, wait for me in my office. Let’s have our
interviewter on.”
“Okay. May I know how to get to your office?” Estelle asked.
“Go out, turn right and then go straight. My office is at the end of the corridor. My name is Jeremy.
I’m a manager here.”
“Thank you, Jeremy,” Estelle said politely.
‘It turns out that this man is a manager, not the boss who dislikes beautiful women. No wonder he
looked at me with doubt just now. Generally speaking, a jewellery designer has good taste and is
always well-dressed. But now I look like a country bumpkin!’
“Hold on.” Cristofer stood up and said to Jeremy, “Let her have a try.”
Hearing this, Jeremy was shocked and immediately said, “Mr. Hans, are you sure you want her to
design your wedding rings? She hasn’t passed the interview for ourpany yet, and I don’t know
whether she is qualified to be our designer or not. Many other excellent designers in ourpany
could….”
“Haven’t all the designs by yourpany’s designers been rejected by Gretchen? None of them
could design the rings that she wanted. So why don’t you let this new designer have a try?”
Cristofer suggested.
Cristofer''s words shocked everyone at present.
After a short silence, Gretchen was the first to react. She pulled Cristofer''s arm and said softly,
“Cristofer, I’m afraid that it’s not a good idea. After all, you two... Now asking Miss Hudson to design
the wedding rings for us is too cruel for her.”
Without looking at her, Cristofer fixed his eyes on Estelle and thought, ‘Is she really here for anThis belongs to N?velDrama.Org - ?.
interview today? What the hell is she wearing? This dress was bought by her six years ago. Isn’t
she rich now? She could even afford the half-a-million-dor diamond rings, but why didn’t she buy
herself some new clothes?’
Then he shifted his gaze to Estelle’s sses. He remembered that she was not nearsighted.
‘Why is she wearing such a pair of ugly ck framed sses?’
Seeing her dress up like this, Cristofer suddenly found it funny.
‘For the sake of her new boyfriend, she yelled at me on the phone and urged me to get divorced.
But today, she came here for an interview in such shabby clothes. What kind of life is she living for
now?’
Jeremy looked at Cristofer in surprise and even wondered if he had misheard. “Mr. Hans, are you
really going to ask her to design the rings for you?”
“Yes,” Cristofer replied. “Thisdy and I are... acquaintances. She knows me well. Maybe she can
design a ring that meets my expectations.”
Jeremy was even more surprised. He looked at Estelle and then at Cristofer, saying, “It turns out
you two know each other. Miss, please have a seat. I’ll get you a cup of coffee. Then, you can have
a good talk with Mr. Hans about the design of the rings.”
“No.” Cristofer turned around, sat back in his seat, and said in a cold voice. “We just know each
other but are not friends. You don’t have to give the green light to her because of me. If her design
is unsatisfactory, you can reject her.”
Hearing this, Jeremy was totally stunned.
‘What’s going on? Mr. Hans and this woman know each other. But he has been displeased since he
saw her. Could it be... This woman may be Mr. Hans’ ex-girlfriend!’
Jeremy patted his forehead and was suddenly enlightened.
‘Mr. Hans must have deliberately shown an indifferent attitude to her in front of Miss Abrams to
show that he has made a clean break with his ex-girlfriend.’
‘Mr. Hans has been doting on Miss Abrams and would do whatever she said. He must love her very
much. In this case, if I want to close the deal, I should please Miss Abrams. As for this designer, she
is not important.’
Thinking that he had figured out the situation, he made up his mind.
Then he chuckled and said, “Okay, Mr. Hans. Whether she will be employed depends on her ability.
If she is not capable enough, we won’t hire her.”
