Chapter 48: Don''t Look For Me
The movement took Estelle by surprise, and she staggered, feeling a sharp pain in her incision and
frowning. She hurriedly stopped Reba and asked, “What are we going to do in the jewellery
store?”
That jewellery store only sold top luxuries. She didn’t have money and couldn’t afford anything in it.
However, Reba said generously, “You have helped my family solve the cash flow problems. I’ll
buy you a gift to express my thanks. Let’s go.”
“Reba, I don’t want to see them,” Estelle said helplessly.
“Estelle, be brave. You didn’t do anything wrong and didn’t have to avoid them! Don’t worry. I’m here
with you. I’d like to see what that bitch will do to pretend to be innocent today!” Reba said
indignantly and snorted.
Then she pulled Estelle into the jewellery store without hesitation.
When the saleswoman in the store saw them, they immediately came forward and said, “What can I
do for you,dies?”
Reba instantly said, “I want the most expensive jewellery in your store. Show it to me now.”
The saleswoman seemed to have never heard such a request before and was slightly stunned.
“But... The most expensive jewellery in our shop is thetest couple’s rings. And you don’t seem to
be a couple...”
“So what? Can’t good friends buy couple rings?” Reba red at the saleswoman.
“No, no. I didn’t mean that. I just...”
Reba waved her hand and said, “Take out the rings now. We want to try them on!”
Reba’s behaviour drew some attention, and her voice attracted Gretchen and Cristofer’s
attention too.
When Cristofer saw Reba and Estelle, his face darkened in an instant. He looked at them warily
and said, “You followed me?”
Reba sneered, blocking in between, “Excuse me, “Mr. Hans, this jewellery store is not yours,
and you have no right to stop us froming here. The nerve of you to use us of following you.
Don’t tter yourself, as you’re not the only person in this city who can afford to buy expensive
jewellery.”
Cristofer snapped back coldly, “There are so many jewellery stores in the whole city. Why do you
have toe to this store which is located in an inconspicuous corner?”
“It’s none of your business. We like this store so we came here. The shop assistant is very happy to
wee us. If you buy everything here and leave us with nothing to buy, We’ll go to another store
right away,” Reba retorted, folding her arms across her bosom, challenging Cristofer up and
down.
Seeing that they were at loggerheads and feeling the tense atmosphere, Estelle gently grabbed
Reba’s arm, “Reba, stop it. Let’s go.”
“No,” Reba said stubbornly. Then she turned to Cristofer and continued, “Mr. Hans, I can
understand that you left Estelle because you hate her and the Hudson family. But why do you still
date his Uncle’s daughter, who is a rtive of the Hudson family? You are so phoney! You just use
your hatred for the Hudson family as an excuse to abandon Estelle!”
Cristofer’s face turned livid with rage, and his voice rose, “My standard for choosing a wife is my
personal affairs. Miss Miller, you have no right to judge me and tell me what to do.”
“Who wants to judge you? If it weren’t for Estelle, I wouldn’t even have bothered to look at you,”
Reba red as she rolled her eyes at Cristofer. Then she asked loudly, “Where are my rings?”
“Here they are,” The saleswoman held a piece of red velvet on which was a small square dark blue
box with cupped hands and carefully put it in front of them. “Ladies, this is the new couple ring
designed by our designer.”
The rings were made of tinum with diamonds on them. Each diamond weighed only a little more
than one carat. The materials of the rings were not expensive, but the prices of the rings were
costly.
“How could such a small diamond ring be so expensive!” Reba was surprised when she saw the
price of the ring.
She was upied with anger just now and didn’t notice that the jewellery store was of a luxury
brand. The ordinary jewellery in this store was expensive, let alone the new rings designed by a
famous designer.
Seeing the rings, Gretchen said softly, “Yes. The rings are indeed a little expensive, but they are so
beautiful.”
Cristofer then asked, “You like them? If you like them, I’ll buy them for you.”
“But Miss Hudson and her friend have decided to buy them. I’m afraid we don’t have a chance to
have such beautiful rings...” Gretchen intentionally spouted embarrassing words.
At this time, Reba lowered her head, pulled Estelle’s sleeve, and whispered, “Estelle, I may not
have enough money...”
Estelle smiled and returned the rings to the saleswoman. “Sorry. We won’t take the rings.”
The saleswoman nodded. Actually, she could see that they didn’t intend to buy the rings from the
very beginning.
Then she immediately showed the rings to Cristofer and Gretchen and said with a ttering smile,
“Mr. and Mrs. Hans, these rings are for couples. You may buy them as your wedding rings.”
“Mrs. Hans?” Gretchen waved her hand and said. “I’m not Mrs. Hans yet.”
The saleswoman smiled and said, “But you are going to be Mrs. Hans, aren’t you?”
Gretchen blushed, leaned her head against Cristofer’s shoulder, and asked coquettishly, “Am I
going to be Mrs. Hans, Mr. Hans?”
Cristofer changed the topic and said with a faint smile, “I want a pair of customized rings with this
style.”
“Okay. I’ll take your measurements for the rings right away!” The saleswoman said happily.
This pair of rings was worth millions of dors. As long as Cristofer and Gretchen bought them, she
would get a percentage for it and earn more money this month.
The saleswoman then served them coffee warmly and gave Gretchen a bunch of flowers as if they
were her Gods of wealth.
Seeing this, Reba felt disgusted. She turned to Estelle and said, “It doesn’t matter Estelle. I’ll
buy you another ring.”
“Reba, I don’t need a ring.”
“You need to. You can choose any other rings here. I’ll buy it for you,” Reba insisted.
Suddenly, Estelle received a message.
‘Miss Hudson, your ount has been unfrozen. You’ve received a transfer of one million dors.’
[Hadale Commercial Bank].
‘My ount is unfrozen? And someone transferred one million dors to me? What’s going on?’
Estelle was confused.
The next moment, she received a message from Mr. Mysterious.
There was only one word in the message.
‘Buy what you want.’
‘How does he know where I am? Is he nearby?’ Estelle wondered as she quickly ran to the door
and looked around.
However, there were so many peopleing and going on the street. Since she had never seen
Mr. Mysterious’ face, she didn’t know which one was him at all.
‘Don’t look for me. I’ll let you know who I am at the right time.’ Mr. Mysterious had texted her again.Content bel0ngs to N?vel(D)r/a/ma.Org.
