When Greta took away her dress and destroyed it, Greta didn''t consider her feelings.

It''s inside." The police officer led Sydney and Julien to the office door, and then he left.

He wondered if he could ask Julien for sponsorship or something like that. This man might agree.

Just as the captain was thinking about whether to draft a sponsorship proposal for the police
station, he suddenly heard a snicker.
He looked over and found that Sydney wasughing behind her hand.
Whileughing, she was looking at their hands sped together.
A sh of realization struck the captain''s mind, and he immediately looked up at Julien.
Julien''s face was sullen, and there was a hint of displeasure and disdain in his eyes.
The captain instantly realized the billionaire didn''t like him.

As she spoke, she grabbed Julien''s arm and pulled it lightly, signaling him to let go.
Julien gave the captain a cold look and released his grip.
The captain looked at his hand, which was swollen from Julien''s grip. He was dismayed, but on the
surface, he remainedposed. He put his hand back, put it in his pocket, and said with a polite
smile, "Not at all. In fact, I''m happy for you to have such a good man who cares about you so
much."
Julien raised his eyes and cast a scornful nce at the captain, as if saying, "Do I require your input
on something that is already evident?"
The captain saw it, and the corner of his mouth twitched.
He didn''t expect the legendary cold-faced king of the business world to have such a personality.
Sydney also noticed Julien''s disdainful look, and she had a headache.
"Come on! What are you doing?" Sydney red at him, grabbed his arm, and pulled him back.
She chose to defuse the tension and face the captain alone.
The captain was relieved to see Sydney pull Julien away.
Finally, he didn''t have to face this temperamental man.
After exhaling a breath, he regained his business-like manner and looked at Sydney seriously.
"Well, let''s do away with pleasantries and get down to business."
"Okay." Sydney nodded gently.
The captain made a gesture to invite them to sit on the sofa.
After Sydney and Julien took their seats and were served coffee, the captain started, "It''s been a
while since your clothes were ruined. How are the negotiations with the suspect''s family going? Did
you decide to settle it out of court?"
"What do you think?" Julien beat Sydney to speak, a tinge of sarcasm in his voice.
The captain understood his implication, taking off his cap and cing it aside. "Of course, I know
you two wouldn''t choose to forgive. But we still need to follow the procedure, and I will make a
record."
He pointed to a recorder tucked in his breast pocket on the left.
As he said, he had anticipated their decision.
If they wanted to forgive, they would have done so when the suspect''s family approached them
rather than waiting till now.
Furthermore, given their wealth and status, they wouldn''t need anypensation or apologies, nor
did they fear any retaliation. So, their decision was understandable.
"We understand." Sydney looked at the recorder and smiled with understanding. "My thoughts align
with my partner''s. We choose not to forgive."
The captain opened his notebook and uncapped his pen to take down notes.
The regtion required both verbal and textual records.
While writing, he said, "I understand that, but I still need to ask on behalf of the suspect. Is there no
room for negotiation?"
Sydney and Julien said nothing.
