    "What about the haters?" Julien let out a frightening air at the thought of the online trolling of


    Sydney.

    "Yes." Zach nodded. Then he asked, "What about Miss McDaniel and the McDaniel Group?"


    An ambiguous glimmer shed across Julien''s eyes. "Contact Erin''s father and tell him about it. I


    think he''ll know what to do. Later, I''ll go to the McDaniel Group myself and demand an apology."


    "Yes, Mr. Flint," Zach replied. Julien then hung up.


    Julien put the phone away and turned to Sydney. "You said earlier that the hotel''s surveince had


    been broken, right?"


    "Yes." Sydney nodded.


    Julien narrowed his eyes. "It’s OK. I''ve got someone working on restoring the footage. I think we''ll


    hear from them soon. When I get the video, you rify the rumors on the inte, and I''ll handle the


    rest."


    Just as Sydney was about to say yes, Luke suddenly spoke. "Send me the video after the footage is


    restored. I''ll publish the video. Syd, you just deny the rumors."


    "You want to publish the video?" Julien looked at Luke skeptically.


    Luke red at Julien angrily, "What? Why are you looking at me like that? I can''t let Syd take the


    bullets alone."

    "I know." Luke looked at Sydney and said, "You don''t want me to get in trouble. You want to protect


    me, but it’s not necessary. Julien said the footage would be restored. When the footage gets


    recovered, we release it and that proves us. I think by then theizens won’t condemn me, and the


    video I posted will be a p in the face to the trolls. If we don''t get the footage, haters might attack


    me, too. But with the footage, that won''t happen. Don''t worry about me."


    Julien raised his eyebrows. He gave Luke a surprised look. "I didn''t expect you to step up!"


    Luke retorted, "What do you mean? Are you calling me a coward?"


    Julien let out a snort. Obviously, that was what he meant.


    Luke immediately exploded in anger. He reached for Julien''s cor.


    Seeing this tense scene, Sydney immediately stopped Julien. "What are you guys doing?"


    The two men saw that Sydney was angry and they suppressed their anger.


    Julien sat back down next to Sydney. He took her hand and stroked it. He was trying to please her


    so she wouldn''t be angry with him.


    Luke didn''t say anything, but he gave her a ttering smile. Her intentions were the same as


    Julien''s, to keep Sydney from getting mad.


    Sydney was amused to see the two men carefully coaxing her in order to keep her from getting


    angry.


    Every time Julien and Luke came across, they would argue with each other. Sydney was at her wit''s


    end with them.


    "I''m speechless to you guys." Sydney shook her head with a wry smile.


    She wasn''t angry and the two men were relieved.


    Julien showed no emotion on his face, but Luke didn''t hide it. He took a long breath and said, "Syd,


    what do you think of my idea?"


    Sydney answered, "You have a point. With the surveince footage, if youe forward and deny


    the rumor, I guess theizens won''t attack you, but you don''t need to do that. I can release the


    surveince footage."


    "That''s different," Julien uttered.


    Sydney and Luke looked at him together.


    Julien said calmly, "This whole thing never mentioned the man in the picture, so people have all


    sorts of spections. If Sydney rifies the rumors but the man doesn''t show up, theizens will


    think the rumors might be true and that your rification is to protect the man."


    Julien then looked at Luke and continued, "So it''s best if Luke rifies the rumor, too. If hees


    forward and denies the rumor, theizens will believe it. Also, theizens know you guys are


    friends and if they know Luke is the man in the story, they will understand that someone is setting


    Sydney up."


    "Yes." Luke nodded hurriedly. "Julien''s right. Syd, people know we''re good friends.


    The only way people will believe us is if Ie forward and release the surveince footage. When


    they started the rumor, they deliberately obscured my face in the picture. They wanted to portray me


    as a powerful man. If theizens learn that the man in the photo is me, they will realize that the
