    I pursed my lips and didn''t intend to stay too long. I turned to Marcus and said, “Bye!”


    Before Marcus could speak, I was out of the hall.

    Out of the lobby, I got into my car and had just started when Jackie called.

    After a pause, she said, “I don’t know how to say this. They were probably trying to hide it from you,
