Chapter 145 Suicide Attempt
Upon hearing Simon’s words, Roman calmly said, “Sometimes, what the naked eye sees may not
necessarily be the truth.”
“Heh. I see that Erin is enjoying it quite a bit. And she insists she has nothing to do with Matthew. Does
she really think I’m a fool?” Simon felt slight displeasure in his heart. He detested women who said one
thing but did the other.

As Erin passed by Simon, he instinctively reached out and grabbed her arm. “What’s going on between
you and Matthew?”
This question made Erin go ballistic. “What’s going on? I’ve already said I have nothing to do with him!
Whoever gets drunk and behaves erratically in the future, be careful! I’ll beat them to a pulp the next
time this happens!”
She forcefully shook off Simon’s hand and continued walking up the stairs in a fit of rage. After Erin
turned the corner and walked into the corridor, Matthew happened to open the wooden door and walk
out.
He was taken aback to see both Roman and Simon in front of him.
Matthew’s tone was somewhat unnatural as he spoke up. “You guys. Why are you here?”
Roman’s gaze was glum. He’d already deciphered the hidden meaning in Erin’s words, and his tone
was quite sarcastic as he said, Matthew, if you’re truly a man, be straightforward and honest in your
dealings. Why did you force yourself against a woman?”

her?”

his help. If he could send a helicopter
to take her back to her hometown, she could go back in the shortest time possible.
She’d dialed his phone number before instantly hanging up, realizing that Chandler’s grandfather was
going through a critical period. Though she didn’t know the specifics, she thought she shouldn’t bother
him at such a critical period. She was a considerate girlfriend, after all.
With tears streaming down her face, Erin put on her shoes, grabbed her bag, and walked out of the
hotel room. She slung her shoulder bag across her body and went to find Roman. Only he could help
her at a time like this.

When she called his phone, she found that it was switched off. Erin couldn’t have known that Roman’s
