Chapter 2341: Trapping the Snake

    "I see your rationale, but I did want to see some action. I don''t know if we would be able to get that high if we just focused on tricks.

    "You are absolutely right. First let''s knock those fuckers out. Their team is not exactly at its strongest state. The three candidates are just a bit above mediocrity, not far from it though. Dealing with them is a piece of cake.


    I already have the locations and the first one is way too easy to deal with at the moment.

    Sam ced his hand on Crow''s back, enveloping both of them with the spatial energy.


    Meanwhile, far away in the pocket dimension, there isrgeke within which there is a small ind.


    On that ind, a young man wearing the uniform of the Zeus academy is panting heavily.


    He kicked the ground and tried to leap off the ind ande out of theke, however, as soon as the left the surface of thend, the surface of theke split open. A skeletal snake came out of it and tried to bite him down.


    He tried to change the direction mid-air, but then the water in theke which was in an unusually ck colored rose up, blocking his path.


    Just like the tree-man, this snake is also one of the unusual creatures in this ce. Unlike the other skeletal creatures which are mostly using only brute force and regeneration, this is manipting the water.


    That guy appeared on the ind from the start and he has been trying to get out of theke. He even used transference tokens. However, as soon as he did...


    Theke water as a whole rose up and froze the space. He couldn''t even fathom the logic behind such a weird reaction, but it is a fact that he is stuck here even after exhausting a bunch of transference tokens, which could have be life savers for him.

    The snake is not acting up. It just moved beneath the surface and only when he showed signs of movements would it react. It has been toying with him for a while. He has tried everything in the past hour or so.


    He even tried to fight it out with it. But theke water, the ck water is way too impable with the defense. His attacks are barely moving past the surface.


    He tried to shoot signals into the air and he did attract a couple of people as well. However, they are not his or Zeus academy''s allies. No one is at this point. They just witnessed his predicament and guessed he would die right there and left.


    Now, he is finally losing hope. At that moment, he sensed a spatial fluctuation nearby.


    Sam and Crow appeared out of thin air and hovered in the air looking at him.


    When he saw them, the Zeus academy student wanted to scream for help, but when he noticed who they actually are, he directly gave up. No student from gambler academy will help him. Much less Sam.


    He just copsed on to the ground and started attacking the water while he was still on his knees.


    The snake is riled up and attacked him with the water pinning him to the ground, before disappearing back.


    "Why are we here? From what I can see, he will definitely die sooner orter. It would definitely take him down. We don''t need to do anything."


    "I know that. I am just trying to speed up the process. Once this guy is done, I have ns for theke. For that, I need him to die a bit early and in a certain way.


    For this, I don''t really need your help, but it wouldn''t hurt to have you nearby. Look out in that particr direction, there is a great chance a threat might appear from there."


    Sam put him on look out and went to deal with the target.


    He took out formation nodes. Not some makeshift nodes, proper formation nodes. Metal pirs with hundreds of inscriptions on them.


    They are also not some general nodes that he could use to make different formations. They are a set. They are used to make a specific formation or to be precise a set of formations. Even if a person doesn''t have any knowledge of the formations, they can use the manual given with it to create this formation.


    These types of sets are verymon in the Dusk organization.


    Even though Sam rarely used them, now it would save a lot of time and they are kind of perfect for the current scenario.


    He was leisurely, as he dug the earth on the bank of theke and ced the nodes of the


    formations.


    The target was just staring at him like a dumb little doll. After Sam ced thest node, the formation was activated automatically.


    On each node, there are a string of inscriptions drawn from top to bottom.


    At the moment, the bottom most inscription of each node is lit up. They are determining the current properties of the formation and that is a simple barrier formation. Theposition of it is very simple, but the barrier is strong as well.


    Maybe because the creature sensed the energy fluctuations, its head raise above the surface. Its head first moved to face the target and then to the dome. It didn''t care much and just went


    back into theke.


    At that moment, Sam activated the next phase of the formation.


    The next three inscriptions on each node were lit up. The dome which was translucent white changed to semi-translucent red. The target who is sitting on the ind, not knowing what to do, suddenly a slight change in the temperature around him.


    He looked at the dome curiously.


    Within no time, he started sweating, it then became irritating as the temperature increased. He removed his shirt and tried to endure. The ck water started boiling up. The target also felt parched. He didn''t know what to do.


    At this moment, the creature inside theke came out all of a sudden and hit the dome.

    There is not even a tremor. The dome ispletely intact. The water became steam and it umted at the top of the dome.

    The creature kept on hitting the barrier and soon its'' skull cracked. It halted a bit and started healing. The opponent wanted to take advantage of this and tried to make a move. However, at the moment, the fourth inscription one each node lit up with a faint purple light.


    The opponent suddenly felt his energy being sucked dry.


    The area within the dome turned toxic with highly dense death energy. The surrounding death energy is being sucked and is being injected forcefully into the formation.


    The target couldn''t even breath and the absurdity of the surrounding death energy finally


    showed its dark side. The blood thirsty aura Sam felt ever since he arrived here, finally showed its ugly end. The target''s eyes became red like burning coals as he started rampaging inside.


    He jumped into the boilingke fighting with the skeletal snake.


    The snake also started fighting back, while also smashing its head against the dome and cracking itself more and more.


    Soon, the opponent''s dead body floated over theke, but by that time, theke has already became two-thirds of its original size. The skeletal snake could barely hide itself. Sam used his energy vision to take a look. The weird energy around the snake has turned red


    and while he was watching, from under the bed of theke, a second skeletal snake hase. Now, as theke evaporated rapidly and formed a massive cloud inside the dome, the snakes kept on smashing dome. The second snake''s energy is also changing along with the first one''s. Just for some safety, Sam activated the next phase of the formation, strengthening the dome


    even more.
