Chapter 2
Ash, like the girl in the painting laid on the floor but where flowers covered the girl in the painting with slight movements of their wings, hundreds of light blue butterflies with a gentle glow buried half of her body. Ash wakes up on the floor or a strange but fumier place–then she remembered. The digital clock on the nightstand with the time 6:25am on its screen–the blue faded but light orange color you see on mornings lighting up the room. It was her room from back before everything happened with everything right where she left it, the way she left it. “Am i dreaming,” she said as she turned to the side, then she saw it–her reflection in the mirror attached to the dresser. Her clothes–they were different from what she went to sleep in. Ash looked from the mirror and down at the T-shirt she was wearing. She remembered wearing it before. Ash looked over to the door and walked over to it–opened it and walked through without closing the door behind her. Though she didn''t notice it, a butterfly on the wall right above the window–light blue wings with a gentle glow. Ash slowly walked down the stairs with the sound of muffled voices in the distance. “What did I say about using your phone at the table,” said Noah, her Uncle ? “What did I say about you getting a real job,” said penny? Ash stude there frozen in the doorway. “Good morning, I was about to send a penny to go wake you up, your breakfast is on the table.” Ash stood there frozen in the doorway, not knowing what to do or even what was happening. What are you waiting for? It''s getting cold, said uncle Noah. Ash hesitantly walked over to the table and sat down in front of a plate of pancakes. They both started speaking at the same time–Noah about this article he was writing, “so apparently there are 41 species of cats out there in total of which most common are….” and Penny, something about one of her friends, “I wonder what Skyler''s up to.“ A slight ringing sound in her ears–so overwhelmed her vision went somewhat blurry.
