Chapter 401 The One With Pride

Colin twitched his eyebrows when the people outside the door stopped talking.

Faye suggested, "Let''s go over and have a look."

Colin thought for a while and said, "Um."

After Colin finished speaking, he turned around to open the door.

When the man who was standing in the corridor saw Colin, he sneered, "Abbot and the other man went

    all out."

Colin looked at the man who was talking to him while he was walking in the direction of the next room.

He raised his eyebrows and asked indifferently, "What makes you here today?"

The man was about his age with an outstanding appearance. He was wearing a dark green shirt and a

    pair of ck suit pants.

Most people wouldn''t be able to wear the shirt in that color, but it looked exceptionally nice on him.

The man''s eyes were long and narrow with a sense of smirk, which could tell that he was a high-end

    yer.

Hearing Colin''s question, the man teased, "What? What''s wrong with me being at my own ce?"

Colin showed a faint smile and said, "I thought you are addicted to drama recently and nning to

    change your career path."

They arrived at the room next door while they were talking. Colin turned to nce at the man who was

beside him and said, "Matthew, look after Faye."

The man leaned against the wall as if he got nothing to do with it and teased, "Don''t worry. I''ll look after

    Faye."

When Colin noticed his frivolity, he wanted to kick him.

That man reacted quickly. He managed to dodge andughed out loud.

In the room, Abbot and Maxwell were sitting against the wall. Both of them were seriously injured.

Even so, the two still didn''t stop. They were scolding each other from time to time.

Abbot gritted his teeth and said, "When I recover, I''ll kill you."

Maxwell raised his hand to wipe off the blood on the corner of his mouth and chuckled disdainfully.

Colin pushed the door open. When he saw Abbot''s severely injured arm and Maxwell''s severely injured

leg, he raised his eyebrows lightly and asked, "Shall I call an ambnce for you guys?"

    Abbot didn''t say a word.

Maxwell didn''t respond to him either.

Abbot had never been so embarrassed in his life. He was helped to get into the ambnce by two

    medical staff.

One of the medical staff proposed to use a stretcher for him, but Abbot said with his jaw clenched, "I

can walk by myself. That''s myst strength."

The medical staff who was holding on to him couldn''t helpughing and said, "You are such a proud

    man."

Abbot responded, "What to do? I have my pride."

Compared to Abbot, Maxwell was much chiller.

When Maxwell was carried out of the room by stretcher, he closed his eyes and looked calm. No one

could tell what feeling he had.

Seeing that, Abbot smiled sarcastically. His smile was too big which involved the wound on his face

and caused him a lot of pain.

A few minutester, Abbot and Maxwell got into the ambnce while Colin and Faye drove behind

    them.

In the ambnce, Abbot was sitting while Maxwell was lying. There were several medical staff sitting

    beside them.

Maxwell didn''t say a word ever since he was being carried out of the room and kept his eyes closed all

    the time.

Abbot looked at him, coughed twice, and stepped on his injured leg as if he didn''t do it intentionally.

Maxwell snorted and opened his eyes immediately.

Abbot looked at him and smiled provocatively, "Oh, Maxwell is finally awake!"

Maxwell was angry. He took two deep breaths to calm himself down and said, "You better pray that you

won''t fall into my hands one day."

Abbot stepped on Maxwell''s leg harder and said, "Well, you better pray for yourself that you won''t lose

    your leg."

The interaction between the two was seen by the medical staff.

Those medical staff knew their backgrounds. They just looked at each other and no one dared to make

    a sound.

When there was a battle between two giants, ones should keep themselves away.

Otherwise, they might be the innocent who got hurt.

It took about half an hour from Marriott to arrive at the hospital.

Abbot was limping when he got off the ambnce, and a medical staff stepped forward to help him as

    soon as he noticed it.

Abbot waved at him with his uninjured hand and said, "No worries. I''m fine."

The medical staff doubted. He looked worried and asked, "Are you sure you''re all right?"

Abbot replied, "It''s okay. I am..."

Before Abbot could finish his bragging, Colin strode forward and said, "I got him."

Seeing Colin, the medical staff warned, "Don''t stretch his wound."

    Colin answered, "Thank you."

Colin helped Abbot to the emergency room, and Faye followed behind them.

Abbot was in terrible pain which made him feel like he couldn''t move at all. He forced himself to endure

it in front of others. However, most of his body was leaning on Colin, and he wasining.

"It''s so painful and it''s killing me."

"Maxwell is really something. I guess if you fight with him, you''ll do better than me."

After Abbot finished speaking, he added another sentence to save his face, "But it''ll just be slightly

better than me. You wouldn''t make much difference."

When Colin heard his words, he smiled calmly and said, "I''ll remember what you have done for me

    today.

Abbot nced at Colin and responded, "Don''t you see my condition now? Why are you still want to

    mock me?"

Colin raised his eyebrows and said, "I am just saying thank you wholeheartedly."

Abbot replied, "Tsk! Aren''t you just trying to project yourself in front of Faye? You''re such a hypocrite."

    Colin was speechless.

It was very rare to see that Abbot prevailed at the end of the dispute between the two of them.

Seeing that Colin was speechless, Abbot felt good and started to whistle proudly.

When he was whistling happily, there was a person who was walking towards him with brisk steps.

Abbot nced at that person and his whistle stopped abruptly.

Abbot thought to himself, "Fortune favors the bold!"
