Lu Yuan gasped like an ox, taking a moment to steady his chaotic breath.
In his heart, he cursed in disappointment, for the Extraordinary Spark was only Level Three, and the energy it leaked was still limited.
If it were Level Four, or even Level Five, the overflowing red light would be like a sword beam, and perhaps he could have killed the enemy from a distance.
In the cave, stctites fell in great chunks.
Lu Yuan kicked out several times, forcefully directing the rocks toward those dark shadows.
"Lu Yuan, didn’t kill them, huh... They escaped!"
"Let them escape... I’ve already figured out theirbat pattern."
He held a dagger in his left hand and a long sword in his right, breathing heavily.
A sense of crisis washed over him again, and without hesitation, he raised his sword slightly to block while thrusting the dagger forward with his left hand.
That thrust was a feint, the real threat was his mid-air flying kick!
The dark shadow twisted violently, trying to dodge the kick.
The roaring flying kick was lifted halfway then lowered again.
The true deadly move turned into a downward sh with the long sword once more.
Because the ck Iron Sword was already in an overhead blocking position, this sh was fierce and ruthless like ck lightning.
The shadow tried to dodge, but realized it was toote as it activated one second of Different Space.
One secondter, the ferocious sword split the opponent’s head open.
Lu Yuan revealed a fierce grin, the red light within his mask undiminished: "You can predict moves, huh? Different Space, huh? Go ahead and predict!"
"Give me Different Space!"
Indeed, pared to the firstyer, these monsters had be harder to fight.
It wasn’t that Lu Yuan had weakened, but his attacks seemed to be anticipated... coupled with one second of Different Space, theirbat power surged.
Even thinking with his toes, he knew it was the additional eyes on his butt causing trouble.
These eyes might be transmitting his thoughts.
But the enemy’s predictive ability had its limits, and he was relying on his physical conditioning, outmaneuvering them with his rapid changes in tactic to overpower them.
In the silent cave, apart from the sound of wind and echoes, a thick presence of killing intent had been added.
Lu Yuan picked up a Leather Shield from the ground and slowly walked towards the several dark shadows in the distance.
The horrifying battle still raged on...

Several warriors of the Rize Civilization were now utterly exhausted, supporting each other and wandering aimlessly like headless flies.
An indescribable panic pervaded their minds.
No matter how hard they tried, they couldn’t find the exit.
Their bodies had grown dozens of eyes!
On their hands, on their legs, they were everywhere.
They were in a terrible mental state, confused, with their minds filled with hallucinations.
The harshness of the environment far exceeded their imagination...
The reason they had been able to persist until now was solely due to the protection of an Extraordinary Item.
[A clump of ancient and mysterious resin.]
[This clump of resin encapstes the blood of an unknown lifeform, for some reason found by their ancestors and worshipped at an altar for a long time.]
[The Rize people believe that this resin contains the blood of the Earth Mother Goddess.]
[But what that blood truly is, nobody knows.]
[Usage: Igniting the resin can block most Mind Power, side effects unknown. (Unknown Level·Natural Wonder)]
The resin burned slowly like an egg.
The dim green mes cast on them, making their skin reflect a greenish light like that of zombies.
But it must be said, thisyer of green light was indeed powerful: the numerous eyes on their bodies appeared to be hypnotized, forcefully closing.
"Governor... we might not hold on much longer... I feel as if my hands and feet are developing self-consciousness, bing somewhat uncontroble, as if frozen stiff, not listening tomands."
"Moreover, I’m not repulsed by this darkness anymore; in fact, I find it somewhatfortable."
The telepath, Tado, municated the firsthand data through his long-range abilities.
He couldn’t help but draw closer to the green fire of resin, and only then did the numbness and stiffness ease slightly.
They clearly knew that the "resin" might have side effects, but they had no choice but to set it alight; otherwise, they might go insane in the next moment and rush into the dense darkness.
"Governor, General, I’ve sent most of the information... I’m not sure how much longer this resin can burn, we... might die here in the next hour."

His heart was filled with utter despair.
He didn’t actually fear his own death.
But this supernatural phenomenon seemed unsolvable.
The monster’s true form was hidden somewhere unknown.
The maze was divided into manyyers, each one a Different Space.
Even if they tried everything, bringing in a nuclear bomb wouldn’t make much difference.
As long as the monster’s real form wasn’t dead, it could alwayse back!
What’s more, they couldn’t even bring in a nuclear bomb!
They had just tried it: the vehicle loaded with heavy weapons could not enter the maze.
Only a few of them managed toe in; even many of the backpacks stayed behind in the Safe Zone.
The most terrifying part was that therge number of monsters living in the caves... were once people of the Rize Civilization!
This was truly too brutal!
Perhaps after a while, once they lost control of their minds, they too would be part of the monsters, pletely enved, assimted.
"We’ve observed some Rize younglings... judging by their size, it seems they have just hatched from eggs... These children have been mind-controlled, beyond any possibility of rescue."
