    “Ning Ning, so you’ve moved here,” said Li Zhijun as he swayed his hips, raised his fingers with a yful grin, and revealed a smug look as if he had uncovered a secret.


    Shen Ning’s face turned pale. “Zhijun, how did you discover this ce?”


    She had just relocated here, and within a day, Li Zhijun had already found her. This left her feeling quite uneasy.


    “I tracked you, in and simple,” Li Zhijun’s eyes sparkled with mischief, and he sported a charming smile that showcased two deep dimples.


    “Why are you following me?” Shen Ning asked with clenched teeth, wanting nothing more than to get rid of this man. He seemed like a spoiled yboy who didn’t understand the difficulties of life and resorted to stalking women.


    “Ning Ning, I tracked you because I care about you a lot. Truth be told, I’ve liked you for a long time. Even when you were my cousin’s wife, 1 wished I could straighten him out. He didn’t know how to appreciate someone as precious as you. Your marriage to him was a real injustice,” Li Zhijun expressed with a touch of regret in his eyes, adopting a more serious tone.


    Seeing that he didn’t appear to have any malicious intent, Shen Ning inquired, “Apart from you, does anyone else know about this ce?”


    “No, I’m the only one who knows. 1 only recently found out,” Li Zhijun replied, shaking his head.


    Shen Ning let out a sigh of relief, about to send him on his way and ensure he wouldn’t return. But then, the front door of the apartment swung open from the inside.


    “Mama!” Coco eximed with excitement as he rushed toward Shen Ning, his arms wide open.


    Shen Ning was taken aback.


    Li Zhijun was equally surprised.


    “Little Ding Ding,” he eximed, looking at Coco with a face full of astonishment.


    Shen Ning had brought young Master Ding Ding here. The ce hid such a significant secret, which exined why she had been so panicked when she saw him.


    “Who are you?” Coco, with a wary expression, rushed into his mama’s embrace, revealing half of his face to scrutinize the strange figure before him.


    “I’m Ding Ding, don’t you recognize me? I’m your cousin, truly, absolutely.” Li Zhijun looked at Coco with a deep sense of surprise in his eyes.


    “I don’t know any cousin. Go away. This ce isn’t weing for you, and you can’t bother my mama,” Coco said with determination, clenching his small fist.


    Mama?


    Li Zhijun was thoroughly bewildered.


    Wasn’t Ding Ding Shen Mei’s child? Why was he calling Shen Ning “Mama”? Even he, who considered himself mentally agile, was now in a fog, unable to make sense of it all.


    “Coco, go back home for now. Mama wille up in a little while,” Shen Ning said in a hushed tone, gently pushing him and urging him to return home. She had lost herposure.


    Coco had spent the entire day cooped up at home, feeling restless since he hadn’t gone to kindergarten. When he finally spotted Mama returning on the balcony, he rushed out with excitement. However, to his surprise, he found Mama tangled up with a mboyant man.


    This didn’t sit well with Coco at all. He turned to face Li Zhijun, stuck out his tongue, and made a silly face. Waving his little fist, he warned, “If you dare to bully my Mama, I’ll make sure you’re picking up your teeth from the ground.”


    With that, he even demonstrated some mock martial arts moves.


    Li Zhijun stood there, utterly dumbfounded, watching the little boy’s defiant departure. Though Coco bore an uncanny resemnce to Ding Ding, his behavior and demeanor were worlds apart.


    “Shen Ning, what’s going on here?” Li Zhijun couldn’t contain his curiosity and suspicion and directed his questioning gaze at her as soon as Coco left.


    Shen Ning hesitated for a moment, as if she had made a decision. She clenched her teeth and said, “Zhijun,e with me.”


    She led Li Zhijun towards his luxury car.


    Both of them got into the car..
