Zhao Quan was on the verge of turning and departing when a stone seemingly materialized out of thin air, striking his knee. The pain caused him to lose his bnce, and he stumbled forward, his chin colliding with the ornate flower pot beside him, instantly drawing blood.
“President Zhao, are you alright…” Concerned voices filled the air. The employees were bewildered, witnessing their boss fall to the ground, writhing in pain.
Gu Panpan was momentarily shocked, unable toprehend how Zhao Quan had fallen while simply walking. Was it due to his age or some sort of medical condition affecting his coordination?
“President Zhao, there’s no need for such a grand bow,” a clear voice chimed in.
All eyes turned towards the source of the voice, revealing Fang Yuan’s presence.
For Gu Panpan, seeing Fang Yuan was like encountering a savior, filling her with excitement.
Fang Yuan exuded a strong aura, casting a cold gaze at the injured individual lying on the ground, his mouth oozing with blood. “1 approved Panpan’s leave. Why? Do 1 require your authorization for everything?”
Zhao Quan clutched his mouth, the pain rendering him unable to speak.
Observing this, a few employees rushed over to offer assistance.
Gu Panpan gazed in the direction where Zhao Quan had left and noted, “I think he needs to go to the hospital for stitches.” Her own chin was beginning to throb with pain.
Fang Yuan concurred, “Indeed, I believe so.”
“President Fang, thank you for your assistance, both with this situation and the house…” Gu Panpan found it challenging to adequately convey her gratitude.
Before she could finish, Fang Yuan responded with a gentle smile, “Keep up the good work.”
Gu Panpan nodded in agreement, saying, “i will.”
On the other end.
Fang Liguo received numerous phone calls, and Song Ling was inundated with congrattions from her circle of friends and family.
“Ling, both you and Liguo are keeping a low profile. Jiayi clinched the second ce in the National Piano Competition. Why haven’t you shared such fantastic news? Are you worried about showing off? Hahaha…”
“The officialpetition’s Weibo ount just posted the results. Jiayi secured second ce, and the first ce went to Cheng Yuqi, the daughter of Jing City’s wealthiest individual!”
“Jiayi is truly remarkable. She has a promising future at such a young age!”
“Weibo also mentioned that the award ceremony will take ce at the prestigious Qingyou Theater in three days. It’s a hallowed venue in the hearts of artists across the country! It’s a tremendous honor for Jiayi to be included as an award recipient at such a young age!”
It had been two weeks since Fang Jiayi received her backstagepetition rankings and shared them on the official Weibo ount. Song Ling was taken by surprise as she received a flood of congrattory messages, and her joy was evident in her radiant smile.
Fang Liguo, on the other hand, was in exceptionally high spirits. He remarked to the person on the other end of the phone, “No, your daughter also possesses remarkable piano skills. Our Jiayi is simply fortunate, purely fortunate…”
As the call concluded, another call came through.
“Is this President Liu? Hahaha, you noticed Jiayi’s ranking in thepetition? You’re too kind. It’s just a minor event…”
It had been a considerable time since the Fang family experienced such a positive turn of events. Even their neighbors paid them congrattory visits, bearing gifts.
A little whileter, a servant rushed in, reporting, “Madam, Mrs. Li from next door is here.”
Mrs. Li, from a privileged background and well-connected, hade to visit.
“Please, show her in.” Song Ling adjusted her attire and adorned herself with her finest jewelry. “Oh, Mrs. Li, you’re always wee. But why have you brought so many gifts?”
Mrs. Li, a woman of high social standing, had a servant who presented gifts on her behalf. She responded with a warm and friendly smile.
Song Ling’s eyes sparkled as she observed the gifts. “You’re much too generous. Why have you brought so many bottles of Hennessy?”
There were at least five or six bottles of Hennessy, along with several packs of high-quality tea leaves and a selection of premium cigarettes…
“It’s far too extravagant. I can’t possibly ept all of this,” Song Ling feigned reluctance.
“Mrs. Fang, please don’t be so formal. We’ve been neighbors for such a long time,” Mrs. Li said warmly. “As the saying goes, it’s better to have good neighbors. 1 heard about Jiayi’s second-ce win in the national pianopetition, and I came to offer my congrattions! She’s truly a talented youngdy!”
“Thank you for your kind words, Mrs. Li.” Song Ling nced at the nanny beside her. “What are you waiting for? This is a gesture of goodwill from Mrs. Li. How can we decline it…”
She almost seemed worried that Mrs. Li might change her mind.
Mrs. Li could discern the unspoken meaning behind Song Ling’s words, even though she found such behavior rather distasteful. Nheless, she maintained a pleasant expression. “Where is Jiayi?”
“She’s out on a date with her boyfriend,” Song Ling replied with a smile. “Don’t just stand there. Please, serve Mrs. Li some tea. Let’s offer her the finest tea!”
“Of course!” The nanny quickly left to prepare the tea.
Mrs. Li couldn’t help but feel slightly ufortable with Song Ling’s disy of newly acquired wealth, but she continued to wear a polite smile.
“I’ve met him a few times. The young man seems quite well-mannered and appears to have received a good upbringing..”
