Wang Ning still sighed as she left the office. President Fang’s abilities were truly remarkable; she had everything under control.
Meanwhile, on the other end, he couldn’t help but feel a tinge of mncholy as an hour and forty minutes had passed without a reply. It seemed that amidst her busy work schedule, this youngdy had momentarily forgotten about her fiance!
His thumb impulsively tapped on Fang Yuan’s WeChat profile picture. It was a shadow cast on the wall, yet even in that silhouette, her beauty was unmistakable. Her allure extended even to her shadow.
For a prolonged moment, he gazed at her profile picture, pondering the circumstances in which she had taken it—what weather she might have experienced, the clothes she wore, and the emotions she harbored.
Thoughts of her radiant face softened Bo Yi’s expression involuntarily. He saved the long profile picture and returned to the chat box, but there was still no response from her. What could she be so engrossed in that she couldn’t find a moment to reply?
Meanwhile, Fang Yuan had intended to respond on WeChat but was interrupted by her phone vibrating once more. It was a call from her father, and as she greeted him with a warm “father,” Cheng Ye’s voice radiated happiness, “Baby Yuanyuan, you were at thepany so early this morning? You’re quite the dedicated professional!”
“I’ve heard about He Jiahui from thepany. Who would have thought she’d be so audacious? You’ve done amendable job. You’ve only been at thepany for a few days, and you’ve already uncovered such a major issue!”
“I was wondering why thepany’s employee turnover rate was so high. Now I understand—it’s because of this parasite!”
“She’s indeedmitted numerous transgressions.” Beyond what Fang Yuan had disclosed, there were also some serious legal vitions. She had already handed over the evidence to the police. He Jiahui’s future would consist of prison life, with her days revolving around prison meals. She would now have to serve time behind bars.
“Our Cheng family oversees a multitude of businesses, and it’s impossible for the corporate higher-ups to monitor every detail in every subsidiary, particrly in a smallerpany like this…”
“I thought that sending a few experienced and capable employees would save me some trouble, but in the end…”
“Yuanyuan, your talent in management is remarkable. If you decide to return to the family business, your brother can finally breathe a sigh of relief. Once you’re fully acquainted with thispany, I’ll entrust you with an evenrger one. Together, you and your brother will elevate the Cheng Corporation to new heights…”
Fang Yuan: “Please, don’t…”
The demands of her current position were already overwhelming. Despite dealing with minor issues, these tasks consumed a significant amount of her time. She had little room left to tend to her personal affairs.
“Yourpetence is widely acknowledged.” When Cheng Ye had handed over thepany to her initially, he hadn’t expected much sess. It was almost like a yful gesture, and he had even been prepared for the possibility of bankruptcy. Yet, within just a few days, she had effectively managed thepany, making necessary hirings and terminations.
“Yuanyuan, how was your stay at Old Master Bo’s housest night?” In truth, Cheng Ye was curious about how Old Master Bo treated her and what transpired during their conversation.
Fang Yuan responded with a hint of indifference, “It was fine.”
Meanwhile, on the other end of the line:
He stared at the chat box for an extended moment. Eventually, unable to contain himself, he dialed the youngdy’s number.
Fang Yuan was in the middle of a conversation with Cheng Ye when her phone abruptly vibrated. She nced at it and noticed a call from Bo Yi.
“Dad, I’ve got another call.”
“Alright, then go ahead and answer it… I’ll hang up. Make sure toe home early tonight!”
Cheng Ye intended to arrange avish dinner as a token of appreciation. After all, Fang Yuan had spent the previous evening at Old Master Bo’s residence. He wondered if she had been well-fed there.
“Alright.” Fang Yuan ended her call with her father and answered Bo Yi’s call. “What’s up?”
“What have you been busy with?” Bo Yi inquired gently.
Fang Yuan exined, “I was just wrapping up somepany matters, and 1 didn’t have a chance to talk to my father much when you called.”
Bo Yi, relieved to learn she was speaking with her father, said, “I noticed you didn’t have time to respond to my WeChat, so I wanted to check if you needed any assistance.”
Fang Yuan replied, “No, I’m good.”
Bo Yi continued, “What would you like for lunch?”
Fang Yuan pondered for a moment. “Anything is fine.”
After a brief conversation with Bo Yi, Fang Yuan only hung up when she received a purchase order from Wang Ning regardingpany matters.
At Jin’an Garden:
Cheng Yuqi returned home with arge bag of food. “Dad, Mom, I got your favorite dishes…”
However, there was no response from anyone in the house.
Upon noticing that Cheng Ye had finished his call, Qiao Xinhui hastily inquired, “Is Yuanyuan okay?” Her concern was solely focused on their daughter.
“She’s fine! Yuanyuan actually uncovered a major issue in thepany! You won’t believe it, but He Jiahui, the head of the Human Resources Department sent by the headquarters, had the audacity to manipte the attendance records. She imed to have worked 70 days a year, collected a year’s sry, and received the full attendance bonus.. Oh, and she even pocketed the annual bonus…”
