As Dominic straightened up, Be found herself caught in the depths of his dark eyes. Unprepared, she quickly masked her emotions with a teasing smile. "Do you help other women put on their shoes like this? Maybe Amber? Or Gloriana? Or someone I don''t know Dominic''s only response was short and dismissive."You''re so childish."

As he started walking Pudding toward the door, Be yfully hooked her pinky around his. Instead of pulling away, he sped her entire hand in his. "That feels ufortable," he muttered.
She couldn''t help butugh, finding it funny how he always tried to act so serious.
Be''s outfit that day was loose-fitting, just enough to hide her baby bump. At first nce, she didn''t even look pregnant. And for some reason, the shoes Dominic had put on her seemed particrly charming now. As she walked, she lifted her feet high just to admire them like a giddy teenager.
Dominic noticed her exaggerated steps and shot her an incredulous look. "What are you doing? You''re 25, not 15."
Be rolled her eyes at him. "I''m happy. What are you gonna do about it-hit me?"
He wasn''t going to hit her. Instead, he let go of her hand, looking mildly exasperated, and walked ahead with Pudding.
Be whipped out her phone, snapped a quick photo of him, and posted it on her Twitter with the caption, "Everything feels just perfect today."
Lia liked the tweet within seconds, leaving a yful emoji in thements. Both of them understood the joke without needing to say more.
After strolling around therge neighborhood for a while, Be felt her legs aching. She plopped down on a nearby bench, refusing to take another step.
When Dominic returned after finishing walking Pudding, she waved him off. "Sit with me for a bit. I''m tired. I don''t feel like walking anymore."
He checked his watch. "I have an important meeting at the office soon, and I don''t want to bete."
She pouted. "Then go! Take Pudding home, and I''ll head back on my ownter."
Instead of arguing, Dominic sat beside her. "Just five minutes. You''re already out of breath after such a short walk. Your belly''s not even that big yet. You''re just out of shape. After the baby''s born, maybe you can start hitting the gym."
Be bit her lip and red at him. "You''ve got a lot to say for someone who''s not the one carrying the baby. It''s easy for you to talk when it''s not your body going through it. You''re the one who got me pregnant, and now you''re the one making snidements. You''d definitely fail if there were a passing grade for being a man."
Dominic smirked, full of confidence. "I''m Dominic Miller. That alone scores me a 90."
She had noeback for that. Money and good looks were definitely strong points in his favor. Annoyingly, she couldn''t argue. He managed to brag without even trying.
What he called "five minutes" turned into over 20. When Be finally felt rested, she got up and took her time heading home.
Dominic didn''t even step inside the house. He dropped her and Pudding off, then immediately headed out again, already on a call.
As he walked away, Be called out loudly, asking, "Are youing back for dinner?"
He stopped, turned around, and
mouthed the word "yes" with mock irritation, his expression exaggeratedly stern. Clearly, whoever was on the other end of the call was important enough to require his full attention, leaving no room for casual interruptions.
Be stifled augh, humming a tune as she shut the door. She walked into the kitchen to prepare some chicken breast for Pudding.
Lately, she''d felt like the baby''s
yful energy had transferred to her. She used to be quiet and reserved preferring calm and solitude. But now, she caught
herself being more lively, and
she
didn''t mind the change. In fact, she thought that it felt... kind of nice.
