    “Yes.” Zhao Yuan sighed inwardly, “Howe a calm and nice guy like Lin Wenxi will be a totally different person when he gets angry? He’s not as smart as usual now.”

    Zhao Yuan asked Lin Wenxi to hold the hot water bottle and then covered him with the nket. Lin Wenxi refused and struggled to stand up. He folded a corner of the nket and asked Zhao Yuan to sit on it. After that, he sat in between Zhao Yuan’s legs and arms and wrapped the unfolded part of the nket around both of them. Fortunately, the nket was big enough for them.


    Zhao Yuan did not feel cold anymore. He embraced Lin Wenxi and kept patting him as if he was holding a baby. Lin Wenxi enjoyed this feeling. He put his face against Zhao Yuan’s chest and felt relieved. Gradually, he fell asleep.


    The next morning, Lin Wenxi woke up first and used his head to touch Zhao Yuan’s chin to wake him up. At this moment, they could see sunshine creep into the room through the cracks of the door. Zhao Yuan yawned and stretched. His whole body ached as he had gotten wounded during the fight yesterday. He had not paid much attention to his wounds and pains until now.


    Suddenly, the door was opened, and strong light entered the room. Zhao Yuan and Lin Wenxi could not help but cover their eyes with their hands.

    “I never know that you have such a powerful friend!” The policeman took Zhao Yuan into another room. On the table inside the room ced two cups of hot drinks, two pieces of bread and several steamed buns.

She was well-dressed but looked young. She was Chen Wanxin.
