    Yun Bixue became agitated as she thought about it. She stared hard at Limo and asked, “Do you think it’s that man?”


    Xie Limo bopped Yun Bixue’s nose with his finger and answered, “My dear wife, you must know that your dear Mr. Xie isn’t omnipotent. He won’t know all the things in the world, especially your best friend’s love life.”


    Yun Bixue leaned against the bed’s headboard in despair. She looked up at the ceiling in shock. No one knew what she was thinking about.


    Looking at Yun Bixue, Xie Limo was really worried that she would think too much. He kind of regretted saying those words. “Overthinking things again? Don’t want to y anymore?”


    Yun Bixue shook her head. “No, I’m not in the mood anymore.” No matter how much she liked a game, it could neverpare to her love for her best friend.


    Yun Bixue was in deep thought for a while before suddenly flipping the nket over to get up from the bed.


    Xie Limo asked, “Where are you going?”


    Yun Bixue wore her slippers as she said, “I’m going to find Yaoyao and ask her about it. No wonder I felt something off about her. She had been so lifeless these past few days. She wasn’t like thatst time, y’know? She used to be so full of energy and was even more bubbly than Bilu.”


    Seeing that Yun Bixue had worn her slippers and was about to go, Xie Limo grabbed her arm and pulled her towards him, causing her to fall back on the bed.


    Xie Limo flipped around and stared down at Yun Bixue. He caressed her face and said, “You’re acting rashly again? Even if you go now, she would be sleeping already. Everyone will mature after going through certain things, so it’s just normal to see some changes in her personality. Didn’t you say earlier that you’re different now from your past self?”


    Seeing that Yun Bixue was listening to him, he continued, “Didn’t she tell you that it was nothing much? That’s because she didn’t want you to worry. If you suddenly go to her and ask like this, it would just remind her of all those unhappy things. Wouldn’t it be better to act like you don’t know anything then? Besides, didn’t she tell you she got to know a soldier?”


    Yun Bixue calmed down a little after hearing Xie Limo’s words. Her husband was right. Her concern might just make things worse, so she decided it was better not to go and ask now.


    Since Yun Bixue was worried about Bai Yaoyao, she discussed with Xie Limo and decided to stay at her grandfather’s vi for a few days. She wanted to spend time with her best friend.


    Xie Limo leaned down and kissed her eyelids. In a gentle voice, he said, “My dear wife is free to do whatever she wants as long as it makes her happy. You got that?”


    “Okay.”


    Yun Bixue did not go out for a few days straight. She stayed in the vi to spend time with either Old Master Yun or Bai Yaoyao.


    At first, Bai Yaoyao thought that Yun Bixue just wanted to stay at home and focus on her wedding preparations, but after a while, she realized that that was not the case. As soon as she found a chance, she asked her, “Bixue, don’t you need to go to work these days?”


    Yun Bixue was peeling an apple when she heard Bai Yaoyao’s question. She passed a peeled slice to thetter as she replied, “There’s nothing much to do in thepany now. Besides, I feel like staying here. I can spend more time with you and Grandfather.”


    Bai Yaoyao carefully observed Yun Bixue’s expression before saying, “Bixue, I really don’t needpany. Also, Grandfather Yun has me to apany him, so don’t worry about us. You can just go and do whatever tasks you need to do.”


    “Really, there’s nothing much that I need to work on. To be honest, I’m feelingzy, so I want to have a good rest at home. Oh, by the way, why don’t we cook for lunch today?” It had been a long time since she cooked as Xie Limo always kept her away from the kitchen. Since her husband would not be back this afternoon, it would be a good chance for her to cook some dishes.


    The two girls used to love cooking together, so when she mentioned this, both of them got excited and walked into the kitchen together.


    When it was lunchtime, a sumptuous spread had been prepared. The moment Yun Bilu came back home, she smelled the fragrant aroma of food and eximed, “Wow! What are we having for lunch today? It smells so good. Looks like we came home just in time!”
