    His words made her frown slightly.


    “Second Uncle, where are you now? Is it a good time? I’d like to discuss things with you,” she said softly.


    “No need. You are a good child and don’t have to exin anything to me,” he rejected.


    “No, Second Uncle. There are some things that I should exin properly to you,” she insisted.


    Her stubbornness seemed to have shocked him as he was rendered speechless.


    “Second Uncle, I’m off work now. You should be in the office, right? I’ll find you there.” Without giving him a chance to reject, she hung up and left office.


    Some things should be exined clearly. Trouble was bound toe if things were left vague.


    With this mindset, she hailed a cab and headed to Pei Family Real Estate’s headquarters.

    Gold and wood were the primary colors used. The lighting and furniture were of more abstract designs.


    Hence, Pei Family Real Estate gave off a grand and expensive look.


    Thankfully, it did not have that nouveau-riche feel to it. Pei Zhenghui spent arge sum of money on the office building’s initial renovation, after all.


    She approached the receptionist desk upon entering the lobby.


    “Hello, I’m looking for CEO Pei,” she informed with a smile.


    “May I know if you have an appointment?” the receptionist asked friendlily.


    “Yes, I’m from the Pei family; your CEO Pei should be aware of my visit,” she confirmed.


    “Okay. Please wait a while, Miss Pei.”


    “Sure.”


    Soon, the receptionist smilingly informed, “Miss Pei, CEO Pei is waiting for you in his office; you can go up now.”


    “Alright, thank you.”


    “You’re wee.”


    After a polite conversation with the receptionist, she took the elevator up to Pei Zhenghui’s office.


    Since she had been to this side of thepany building before, she knew her way around and where to find his office.

    The building was quiet and had few people in it as it was already after office hours.

    “Come in.” Pei Zhenghui’s voice called out from inside the office.


    <i>Pak! </i>She inhaled sharply and collected her emotions before opening the door and entering his office.
