    The Quarterfinalists were expected. After all, it was unlikely for another Ruling Sword to appear.


    Even if money were poured into a new club, it still wouldn’t be another Ruling Sword.


    Glory Capital, Ruling Sword, Blood Red War g, Drizzle Court, Peerless City, Wings of Dawn, Gale Legion and Gods of Dusk – these were the 8 clubs in the Quarterfinals.


    The most unfortunate club was Seventh Heaven. In the Top 16, they were met with Glory Capital.


    Grand Hegemony could not escape the carnage either. Blood Red War gpletely destroyed them.


    The rebuilt Gangnam Royals no longer had the star power that they had before and were eliminated by Gods of Dusk. Wood Fearing managed to win three consecutive times again, eliminating Gangnam Royals while doing so. Gods of Dusk was seemingly creating legend after legend just by having this one veteran that kept them in relevancy.


    Blue Universe was met with Peerless City. Both clubs had once been under Drizzle Court. Although both had the same origins, there were still undoubtably strength differences. Blue Universe waspletely destroyed by Peerless City.


    Drizzle Court wasn’t too lucky this time. They were met with Azure Guard, which was quite a powerful club and were nearly eliminated by them. Fortunately, in the Group Battles, Green g Wine and Deadly Golden Underpants performed superbly and managed to turn the tables by killing three opponents together.


    Gale Legion eliminated Purple Lunar Paradise while Wings of Dawn eliminated Majin Temple and Ruling Sword eliminated Ster Union. The Top 16 battles were still quite exciting.


    From a ss-focused perspective, there were three sses that seemed to have an advantage over others. The first one was obviously the Mage ss. No other ss couldpare to the burst damage and crowd-control abilities that Mages had. Second was the Berserker ss. Berserkers were deadly in one on one situations and usually overpowered their opponents fighting face-on. As such, they were very popr with teenagers and young people. Third was the Thief ss. It didn’t matter if it was Blood Dagger, Lu Li, or Wood Fearing – they were all able to perfectly showcase the power of Stealth.


    Dawn’s official website wrote that there was no such thing as a ‘strongest ss’, only a ‘strongest yer’.

    “No strongest ss? Mage is the strongest ss.”


    “No strongest ss? There is only a strongest Thief.”


    “No strongest ss? Come and fight a Berserker one on one.”


    It was nearing the end of the current update. These three sses were enjoying themselves, not knowing that a massive nerf was on its way.


    Sapphiron was defeated during a not-so-particrly sunny afternoon.


    A corrupted green light illuminated its body, which was now reduced to a pile of bones yet again. Malygos was destined to be unable to change his people’s fate.


    There were three skill points awarded and one Enhanced Skill Book which was Ice Magic-based.


    Face of Death – this was an Epic item for Defense-based sses.


    Then, there was Sapphiron’s Left Eye, a secondary weapon for Mages. Usually, only Warlocks needed these.


    Cloak of the Necropolis – this was an exquisite item for Magic sses. With the appearance of this item, the peaceful atmosphere instantly shattered as all the Magic yers went into a furious battle over it.


    w of the Frostwyrm – this was probably the strongest Knuckle in the game at that time.


    Although there were two Shamans and a few Thieves, in the end, it was Sakura Memories who took the item at its base price. This item was powerful, so it made a lot of yers jealous. Even though Shamans were the weakest ss during that version of the game, it didn’t matter. She still managed to take the item at its base price.


    Dragonyer’s Si – a physical-based essory.


    Everyone who wasughing at the fierce battles over the Magic items were now silenced.


    “120. Everyone, let’s be good to each other here,” Lu Li said sternly.


    Someone else immediately ignored him.


    “150.”


    “180. What did the leader say just then?”


    “200. Didn’t hear him.”


    “220. How much do you have left?”


    “Not much, but more than you.”


    “Let me have it. I’ll buy you a mealter.”


    “The most I would do is lend it to you. No need for dinner.”


    “Then you’re not scared that I would drop it if I died?”


    “There’s only a 0.43% chance of essories dropping upon death. If you really do lose it, then you’ll pay me for another one.”


    “Deal! Deal!”


    Lu Li’s tears were welling up in his eyes as he watched someone else take the item. He really wanted that one. If it weren’t for the worries of the team disbanding if he just gave it to himself, he would have done just that. These scumbags didn’t even look at him properly while bidding for the item.


    He decided that he couldn’t just spend his guild points so loosely anymore. He needed to prioritise and save up for the exquisite items so that this wouldn’t happen a second time.


    After Sapphiron’s death, thest sealed door finally disappeared. Now, Kel’Thuzad was waiting patiently in his ce for his challengers. However, they all had other things to do and would regatherter. They also had matches the next day as well.


    If they were unlucky, then they might be eliminated.


    It would be best if they didn’t meet with Glory Capital. Lu Li was praying to avoid them. Sorrowless was open about him collecting all sorts of exquisite items. He was spending millions and millions on items. No one else couldpare to him.


    Most of the best items came from Wild Bosses or Instance Dungeon Bosses. However, there were also exceptions, such as the Faction and Mentor systems.


    Lu Li guessed that there were around ten Legendary items floating around in the game. Although this wasn’t muchpared to the huge yer base, it would be a concern if Glory Capital got their hands on one of them, since it would make them even more terrifying.


    There were no ‘main characters’ in a game like this. Anyone could be blessed by luck.


    Perhaps a god-level dragon couldnd in front of you with a sliver of HP left, inviting you to take the kill.


    There were also some NPCs who you could save by gifting some basic potions to, build a rtionship with them, and then prosper from there.


    It seemed as though his prayer had worked. Ruling Sword ended up drawing Blood Red War g to be their opponent. Although Blood Red War g was still a worthy opponent, this was already the Quarterfinals, so there weren’t any weaklings here.


    On the same day, Drizzle Court drew Peerless City as their opponent.


    The match between Ruling Sword and Blood Red War g didn’t even garner as much attention as Drizzle Court and Peerless City. After all, they were close allies. Everyone else just wanted to see how it would unfold.


    If Drizzle Court lost, then it would be rather embarrassing since Peerless City was their branch club. If Peerless City lost, then that wouldn’t be good either. This results of this battle would definitely cause rifts to open within their rtionship.


    Lu Li even went and checked up on Water Fairy about it.


    However, Water Fairy was fine with it. She calmly replied that this was a test of strength to see which club was stronger. It wasn’t that difficult of a situation to deal with.
