Chapter 1070: Removing Stealth

The Mage Sindra was representing Blue Universe in the single matches.

It was a Thief vs. Mage fight!

Previously, he wasforting his Leader about Ruling Sword. Now that Sindra was actually facing Lu Li, he found that all his words were said in vain as he could barely hold his Magic Staff without shaking.

Of course, he couldn’t regret his decision now.

They couldn’t stay under Drizzle Court forever, so it was really important for them to be able to stand out.

There wasn’t a single person who didn’t want to take the limelight. Right from the beginning of the game, they had dreams of bing the champions. Wasn’t that why they trained so hard over the years?

Sindra steeled himself and prepared himself to see how strong this Lu Li person really was. He stared at Lu Li, who immediately vanished in ce.

Sindra started calcting the angle that Lu Li’s attack would take, and when there would be an opportunity to make an attack. Professionally trained yers were like meticulous instruments. After Lu Li had gone into Stealth, he started counting.

But in fact, he waspletely wrong.

Lu Li didn’t do anything fancy. He directly appeared by the Mage and cast Sap before appearing behind the Water Elemental. Not only was Lu Li now behind the target he actually wanted to attack, but he had also managed to dodge the Water Elemental’s Frost Nova.

His original position behind Sindra had been frosted over, but there wasn’t a yer frozen there in ce.

Sindra’s reaction time was quite fast, but unfortunately, he was incorrect about Lu Li’s intentions.

Lu Li intended to kill the Elemental that only had a little HP. As for whether the Water Elemental could remove Sap from Sindra, that was a different matter.

In short, Lu Li was taking advantage of his current high attack strength and Sindra’s Water Elemental, which was still in its first stage and had low HP. Lu Li was adamant on dealing with this troublesome pet first.

He began dealing as much damage as he could to the Mage’s Elemental, but this kind of strategy was not one many yers were willing to use.

In general, most Thieves wouldn’t be able to get rid of the pet before the Mage recovered. If the Elemental didn’t die, then its HP would be quickly recovered.

Sindra originally thought that was the case, but when he saw the speed at which his Elemental’s HP was dropping, he was forced to make a choice. Lu Li’s attack had been greatly increased in thest few days. He had heard of this, but witnessing it first hand was an entirely different experience.

    He couldn’t beat Lu Li!

Even though he knew he couldn’t win, he still had to try to create some opportunities for the yers after him. Otherwise, Lu Li would defeat all five of their yers, and leave them with a humiliating defeat.

As Sindra became heated up, he ended the Sap effect and hit Lu Li with an Instant cast skill.

Lu Li wasn’t a God and he wasn’t able to react immediately. Fortunately, instant skills were characterized by their reduced damage, so there was nothing to worry about.

Moreover, he had been taking minor chunks of damage all this time anyway, but he no longer continued to attack the Elemental. Lu Li’s target had now changed to Sindra, who no longer had his badge.

As for the Elemental, Lu Li honestly didn’t think that it would have enough time to cast Frost Nova again. Without Frost Nova, all it could do was deal some damage and slow a target.

When faced with Lu Li’s aggressive advance, Sindra carefully adopted a kiting tactic.

In a Mage vs. Thief fight, one of them would want to kite while the other would want to get close. The former required a degree of patience and mobility while thetter would have to pay attention to the positioning and timing of their attacks. The direction of a Thief’s attack mattered, so they needed to be able to surround the Mage, which required more skill.

Sindra’s Elemental hadn’t died yet and its Frostbolt could slow down the movement and attack speed of Lu Li.

However, no one would be able to exin to him why someone who had lost movement speed would still be able to run around him. Sindra had no choice but to turn and face Lu Li, because all Mages had to ensure that they didn’t leave their backs to a Thief.

“It seems like Thieves are quite the Mage killer,” the femalementator said sympathetically, making his loss look a bit more graceful.

“Not necessarily – Unforgettable Maple was a Thief in the previous game. In fact, the key is to watch a yer’s usual habits and ystyle,” the malementator disagreed. It was meaningless to say which Profession was stronger than another. Unforgettable Maple rarely lost to Kitchen Knife, Ho’s Nest and Blood Dagger in the first half of the year.

“What professions do you think pose a threat to Lu Li?” the femalementator asked.

“Any profession has the potential to do so, but with the current rankings and equipment, there are no more than ten yers that can take him down. Particrly since these matches are heavily affected by the tactics in use,” the malementator answered. He was biased towards the yers’ technical abilities as he was the head of fighting analytics.

Warriors were considered to be a Thief’s greatest nemesis because of their bleeding effects which prevented them from going into Stealth. Pdins were also difficult because of their great HP and damage reducing effects.

Nearly one-third of the top 100 yers in the Level Rankings were Mages, followed by Warlocks, who had a re effect. Hunters with strong pets also posed a threat to Thieves.

In all honesty, Sindra was fairly skilled Mage.

It was just too bad that he was nervous. After being attacked by Lu Li, he quickly became passive in his fighting style. When Lu Li finished him off, he still had about 70% HP, and most of the damage had been dealt by the Water Elemental.

The second yer was Blue Universe’s Leader, a Warrior who now had to face Lu Li on 70%HP.

Enthrall knew that he didn’t have time to waste, so he immediately cast Rain of Fire as he waved his weapon around. It had mediocre damage, but it could ignite his opponent and prevent them from using Stealth, Shadowmeld and Exile for 30 seconds...

This basically meant that Lu Li’s Stealth had been temporarily removed.

Without Stealth, it was just apetition of mobility, but Lu Li couldn’t face the Warrior head on. The hammer that his opponent was holding was probably an Epic that could deal significant damage to him, especially with the Berserker effects.

As such, Lu Li watched and reacted. When Enthrall Charged, Lu Li blinked away, and when he elerated, Lu Li followed suit...

For the first few seconds, they didn’te into contact at all. Lu Li had perfectly responded to Enthrall’s every move.

Once thirty seconds were up, he stopped ying this cat and mouse game and just entered Stealth.
