Chapter 710: Quilboars
Trantor: Halcyon Trantions Editor: Halcyon Trantions
The second member would be quite hard to find. It was very rare toe across a yer that was capable of being a backup for their team.
Based on the three years of experience in his past life, there were very few yers who started from being a nobody that eventually rose to fame and made a name for themselves in thepetitive scene.
March Rain was a good example. However, she was scouted and had trained hard to be where she was at right now.
Fat Monkey was another example, but it would take him one or two years to finally discover a role for himself. Currently, he was considered to be a walking time bomb because of his explosive temper and recklessness.
Even though he was starting to emerge as a star yer, if he was offered in a trade to the other major guilds, they might not even want him.
If Lu Li or Moonlight wanted to, they could easily agitate Fat Monkey until he wanted to kill himself.
Lu Li originally thought that Kitty Likes Meat would be a good example. However, upon meeting her father today, he realized that she hade from a pedigree of professional yers.
If it wasn’t for Lu Li’s rebirth, he could be considered as someone like that.
After he returned home, he went back to ying the game. His current goal was to train and grind to at least level 45 before the tournament started so that he could equip his Legendary Dagger.
The rules of the first season of the tournament were much more lenient since everyone was still getting used to the setup.
The applications opened at Christmas and the tournament would begin on Chinese New Year, sting all the way to the Spring Festival. As such, Lu Li had plenty of time to reach level 45, assuming that everything went smoothly.
At his current level, it would be inefficient to bring a party of Mages to grind on monsters because they were only strong enough to kill normal mobs. After reach level 40, most Rogues would opt to hunt Elite monsters to level up.
Lu Li chose to train on the level 45 Elite Quilboars.
Quilboars resided in the most Southwest region of the Southern Barrens and were the strongest monsters in the Southern Barrens.
The current drop rate for dungeon passes in Razorfen Kraul and the Razorfen Downs were extremely low. Additionally, the area was quite dangerous, so very few people would venture into this part of the map. However, in about half a year, these two dungeons would eventually be public and there would be many more yers in the area grinding for EXP and gear.
The Quilboars had a chance to drop Wild Boat Meat when killed which wasmonly used in the Cooking profession. Lu Li had recently decided to level up his Cooking expertise.
After some time, there would be a patch that introduced more uses for the Cooking profession.
Food would add special effects and allow the yers to avoid the negative effects of hunger. Cooking was already quite popr, but once the patch came out, it would be even more so.
The two most important professions in the future were Cooking and Harvesting.
Lu Li chose Cooking because he could create delicious dishes for him and his sister. The in-game food tasted just as good as real life without the side effects such as weight gain or stomachaches.
The dagger in his hand prated the back of a Quilboar’s head. This was Lu Li’s favourite ce to aim when assassinating something; he felt a sense of satisfaction every time the bolded red number appeared.
A piece of equipment dropped: Heart of Agamaggan
It was obvious that this was a counterfeit version of the real item. This Silver grade equip was worthlesspared to the Dark Gold Grade version that dropped from the Boss Charlga Razornk in Razorfen Kraul.
The average yer would still be very surprised and pleased to find a new Silver Grade equip, but for Lu Li those days had passed. As he yed the game more and more, his standards increased and all he saw was a useless piece of equipment taking up a slot in his inventory.
Speaking of the Heart of Agamaggan, Agamaggan was a demi-god who was one the first and most powerful Ancient Guardians that ever lived. Legend had it that the Great Boar was one of thergest creatures that roamed the world of Azeroth.
He could stomp the ground with his wagon-sized hooves, breathe corrosive acid at enemies and cast a rain of thorns that would detach from his back and cause considerable damage.
His immense appetite made his body grow as years passed, making him a juggernaut of raw strength. Agamaggan was often hunted by the trolls, but unsessfully.
During the War of Ancients, Cenarius sought the assistance of Agamaggan. He convinced Agamaggan that if the Burning Legion won the war, all life would be destroyed, including the Quilboars.
Thus, they formed an alliance and assaulted the strongholds of the Eternal Pce Azshara, ying thousands of Doomguards and Felguards with fury.
The battle between Agamaggan and the demons was lengthy and ranged across the continent, towards the west.
Agamaggan even fought the Pit Lord Mannoroth, who was Archimonde’s lieutenant and a servant of Sargeras.
Although he fell before the Legion, his assistance was vital, allowing Malfurion and others to enter the stronghold of Azshara and reach the Well of Eternity.
Although they were both fighting against the Burning Legion, the legacies of Agamaggan and Cenarius waspletely different.
Lu Li has received many blessings from Cenarius, but he had to admit that having a strong family background and connections with other people was much more important than working hard.
If you had a wealthy father, you could easily obtain things such as cars and houses. However, if this wasn’t the case, then no matter how hard you worked to better yourself financially, the statistics showed that this was nothing more than a fantasy. You might not be able to buy a house, afford to go to the doctor or even hold a funeral for yourself. You would never have the financial stability to get married, nor would you ever have a child of your own.
The fate of the descendants of Cenarius and Agamaggan werepletely different.
The sacrifices made by the demigod Cenarius earned him the respect of everyone in Azeroth. The Treants became the protectors of the forests, continuing to fight for the health and well-being of Azeroth.
On the other hand, the Quilboars became increasingly hostile and savage, forced to fight for food against the Taurens and Centaurs. No onememorated the sacrifices that Agamaggan made for Azeroth.
This was the cruel reality.
