Chapter 101: Wan Wan Again

    Due to the dy caused by searching for the cat, what should have been thepletion of Xia Xin’s scenes for the day was postponed to the next day.


    Early the following day, an unexpected person arrived at the set, Wan Wan. Gao Xin frowned as she looked at Wan Wan and asked, “Why are you here?”


    The weather was nice and Wan Wan stood out in her eye-catching dragon fruit-colored pencil skirt. She walked towards Gao Xin with a seductive gait, and in a throaty voice, said, “Of course, I’m here to see you.”


    Gao Xin responded coldly, “No thanks.”


    Wan Wan didn’t care and yfully adjusted her hair with her hand. The strong scent of her perfume made Gao Xin furrowed his brow.


    Wan Wan said, “I know you don’t need me here, but it’s thepany’s arrangement. Do you think I wanted toe? It’s just that the production team wants to leverage the poprity of our girl group for publicity in their drama. I’m making a contribution for you. Why are you so picky?”


    Gao Xin sneered, “No thanks.”


    Rolling her eyes, Wan Wan replied, “Then talk to thepany about it. Since I’m already here, and the director’s role for me is already scripted, I don’t mind leaving right now. It’s up to you to persuade the director.”


    With that, Wan Wan swayed her hips and walked away.


    Gao Xin was clearly annoyed. Just because they debuted in the same girl group, Wan Wan stuck to her like glue, following her around all the time. It was one thing to appear together on variety shows, but now she even wanted to make a guest appearance in the TV series. It was incredibly irritating.


    Gao Xin turned and returned to her dressing room in frustration.


    Meanwhile, Xia Xin found it strange. Before leaving, Wan Wan had nced at her with a certain meaning, a look that sent shivers down her spine. Xia Xin couldn’t shake the feeling that Wan Wan’s look held some sinister intent, as if she had a hidden agenda.


    Before Xia Xin could dwell on it further, she was called by the director to shoot her scenes.


    After wrapping up the final scene, Xia Xin went to the dressing room to change, and as she exited, she noticed that reporters were interviewing Gao Xin. So, she stood a little way off, waved to Gao Xin, and prepared to leave.


    Suddenly, Wan Wan grabbed Xia Xin’s arm. Her eye-catching dragon fruit-colored skirt had drawn the attention of the reporters. The reporters rushed over to invite Wan Wan and Gao Xin for a joint interview.


    Since they were both from the same girl group, conducting a joint interview wasmon. However, Wan Wan nced at Xia Xin and said, “This is the recently famous zookeeper, Xia Xin. Why don’t we invite her for the interview as well?”


    The reporters exchanged nces and believed that Wan Wan had been trending recently because of Xia Xin.


    One reporter asked, “Wan Wan, can you tell us about your rtionship with Xia Xin?”


    Wan Wan blushed coyly and said, “We’re really good friends. We’ve worked together on variety shows, so when I had the opportunity for this interview, I thought of bringing her along.”


    The reporters chimed in, praising Wan Wan for being considerate and taking care of her friends.


    It was Xia Xin’s first time facing so many cameras and shes, and she felt a bit overwhelmed standing beside Gao Xin.


    Gao Xin held Xia Xin’s hand and whispered, “It’s just a small interview. Don’t be nervous.”


    Xia Xin tried to maintain herposure and listened to the reporters’ questions. Since the main focus of the reporters was Gao Xin, the questions directed at Xia Xin were rtively simple. The primary interest was in interviewing Gao Xin.


    However, suddenly, one reporter shoved the microphone in Xia Xin’s face and asked, “Miss Xia, we’ve heard rumors that you were able to join the cast because of an intimate rtionship with the director. Do you have anything to say about this?”


    Xia Xin froze in her tracks. It was the first time someone had used her directly like this, and being under the scrutiny of countless cameras, she felt at a loss.


    Gao Xin stepped in to defend her, saying, “There’s no evidence to support such ims. Please refrain from making baseless usations. Are you reporters, or are you supposed to rely on facts?”


    After that, Gao Xin tried to lead Xia Xin away, but the reporters had surrounded them, and there was no way to push through.


    The persistent reporter continued, “What if I say I have evidence for my im? Haven’t Miss Gao and Miss Xia seen the trending videos?”


    Xia Xin and Gao Xin exchanged puzzled nces. They had just finished filming, so they hadn’t had time to check their phones.


    Wan Wan suddenly stepped forward and said, “Please, everyone, don’t be hasty. We’ve just finished filming, and we haven’t had a chance to check the trending topics yet. Please don’t spread rumors, and don’t make baseless spections.
