    Ye Ling could not help but chided Xie Xuning softly, “Don’t say a word!”


    He had be crippled. Did he think she would walk away from him now that he was in this state? She was not that sort of person.


    Xie Xuning was taken aback by her response. “Ling, it hurts...”


    “Is your leg hurting?” Ye Ling did not know how high the cliff that she had fallen from was. Regardless, Xie Xuning’s left leg was already injured, yet he had to walk on while carrying her. It was a difficult journey for him.


    “I’m aching all over.” Xie Xuning could feel that he was running a fever. He had always been very strong and healthy. Why did he have a fever now? Was he supposed to act weak so Ye Ling would have more sympathy for him?


    “Close your eyes and try to get some sleep.” Ye Ling was very worried about his condition. Although she was a doctor, there was no medicine in that area. There was no way she could treat Xie Xuning.

    “Xuning, you’re so silly.” Tears welled up in her eyes.


    “Why are you saying such silly stuff? How did you survive by yourself over the past 20 years?”


    She ced her face against his. Xie Xuning’s forehead was warm. Ye Ling felt her heart get warmer. He loved her like it was 20 years ago; his love for her never wavered.


    “Xie Xuning, you’re really a fool.” Teardrops rolled down from her eyes to Xie Xuning’s face.


    Ye Ling decided they could not stay there any longer. She had to think of a way to get out. If Xie Xuning’s leg was not treated in time, it would lead to moreplications in the future. Ye Ling wanted to get up. She tried to pull her hand out of Xie Xuning’s grasp but he held it so tightly.


    “Xuning, let go of my hand.”


    It was pitch dark outside and there was a snowstorm. “Qingcang, are you sure this is the right way?” Ye Tianxin followed Li Qingcang. He was grasping her hand.


    “Yes, it should not be too far away. Just follow me.”


    There was barely a soul as she looked out into the horizon. Everything was white as a sheet. She plodded on in the thick snow. She was so tired. If Li Qingcang was not holding on to her, she would not be able to carry on.
