“Madam, did you, by chance, work in the police station’s Household Registration Department in the past?”
Wu Can was stunned upon hearing Xie Xuning’s question, for she could not recognize him at all.

Xie Xuning couldn’t help but reply gravely, “Then may I remind you of your response when I came to seek you out in August 1988? You told me that both Ye Ling and her mother were dead!”
