    “Security, please escort her off the premises,” Auntie Li said, then turned and headed back into the vi to attend to her duties.


    “You…” Xu Yanxi was fuming with anger but couldn’t utter a word. Tall security guards were preventing her from entering Chen’s territory.


    Reluctantly, Xu Yanxi had to leave the premises. She knew she couldn’t confront the security guards, so she drove away dejectedly.


    However, she didn’t leave the area; instead, she drove to the East Mansion.


    Upon arriving at the East Mansion, Xu Yanxi overheard the conversations of the people around her as soon as she entered.


    “Isn’t this the woman who came to visit the CEOst time?”


    “Yes, she’s supposed to be the CEO’s future wife. She left with himst time, holding onto his arm.”


    “Moreover, the news says she has a good rtionship with the president. It seems she’s the one the president will marry.”


    Upon hearing these whispers, Xu Yanxi stopped and stared at the people around her. Then, she eximed, ’’Stop gossiping about me behind my back. Let me tell you, I’m the CEO’s fiancee. My name is Xu Yanxi.”


    With her promation, Xu Yanxi turned and walked confidently toward the CEO’s private elevator, her ten-centimeter high heels clicking with each step.


    The announcement sent shockwaves throughout rhe East Mansion and even across Ancheng City.


    Xiao Yichen was working in his office, and You Luan was absent. When Xu Yanxi reached the CEO’s top-floor office, she walked directly to Xiao Yichen’s door and entered without knocking.


    Xiao Yichen had to put aside his work to look up.

    Xiao Yichen pulled his arm away from her grip and asked, “What is it?”


    Though Xiao Yichen had withdrawn from her, Xu Yanxi didn’t acknowledge it. She continued to wear a smile and rook a step closer to him. She gazed at his handsome face and said, “Chen, I’m hosting a party the day after tomorrow, and 1 want to invite you.”


    After expanding her statement, she added, “This party marks my return. I’ve invited close friends and important people in my life. You must attend.”


    “I have a priormitment the day after tomorrow, so I can’t make it,” Xiao Yichen replied tly.


    Lin Wan had been feeling lowtely. He wanted to spend more time with her.


    “Is thatmitment more important than me?” Xu Yanxi abruptly altered her tone and expression. She red at Xiao Yichen, indignantly questioning, “When 1 returned from abroad earlier, you promised to celebrate my homing. I’ve organized this gathering and invited you to celebrate with me as a guest of honor.. Are you unwilling to attend?”
