    Lin Wan held his hand tightly. “Alright, hubby.” “Don’t do that voice,” he said. “I’m already tired.”


    “Okay… let’s watch a movie, hubby.”


    At Yun Xi High School, the students waited for ss to be over.


    When the bell finally rang, the students rushed out of the ssroom. They ran into the snow and yed with their friends.


    Li Zexuan kept his distance from Sun Mingtao.


    Sun Mingtao hesitated and then ran outside to y snowball fights with his other friends.


    Lu Wenqian saw Li Zexuan packing his books and pencil case into his bag alone. She wanted to walk over to him and say something, but his cold re stopped her in her tracks.


    “Li Zexuan, do you want to y snowball fights with us?” asked the ss monitor.


    “Sure,” said Li Zexuan as he put on his jacket.


    After school, Xie Wanyu and Luan Rongrong went straight to their dormitory. They decided to eat instant noodles and head out to y in the snow.


    “It’d be so great if there weren’t any sses on snowvy days. I just want to stay in and nap,” said Luan Rongrong.


    “I’ll make the noodles. You can prepare braised eggs and ham sausages. We can eat and then go out and build a snowman,” said Xie Wanyu as she put the water to boil. “The teacher did say that there’ll be no self-study sessions today. So, we cane back early.”


    Li Zexuan and a few of his ssmates were building a snowman in front of the administrative building of the school, but his mind had long drifted to Xingzhi Tower. He wondered if Xie Wanyu was there.


    It was only noon right now, and he was too embarrassed to go there and wait for her.


    After ying snowball fights for a while, the students hurried off to the cafeteria to grab a bite.


    The sses ended at 6 p.m. It was almost dark.


    Li Zexuan packed his bag and ran to Xingzhi Tower.


    Lu Wenqian saw him hurry off. She knew he was going to meet Xie Wanyu, but she didn’t dare to try anything stupid.


    It had been two years since it snowed in Yun City. Lu Wenqian went outside, stood in the snow, and looked up at the darkening sky.


    “Wenqian, do you y snowball fight?” asked Sun Mingtao.


    “Sure,” said Lu Wenqian.


    Behind Xingzhi Tower, Luan Rongrong and Xie Wanyu rolled the snow into huge balls.


    “Wanyu!” shouted Li Zexuan happily when he saw her.


    “Li Zexuan, you’re here!” Luan Rongrong waved at him.


    “Well… you guys have fun. I’ll go back first,” said Luan Rongrong. She wanted to give them some space.


    However, Xie Wanyu stopped her. “Wait! Go after we make the snowman. I have been wanting to do this all afternoon. We’ll have to return to the dorms soon. There is not enough time. Can’t we build a snowman together?”


    “Of course, we can,” said Li Zexuan. He started rolling the snow on the ground to make a bigger snowball. “I’ll make the base. You guys can figure out what to do for the head and the limbs.”


    The three of them worked together to build a snowman.


    Lu Wenqian asked Sun Mingtao toe with her to check the wisteria rack near the Xingzhi Tower. Sun Mingtao hesitated. He only agreed when Lu Wenqian promised him that she wouldn’t cause a scene.


    As they reached closer to the Xingzhi Tower, they heardughter.


    Sun Mingtao stepped forward, but Lu Wenqian stopped him. “Don’t… Li Zexuan will only assume I dragged you into this.”


    Sun Mingtao nodded. “Wenqian, you did the right thing, you know. I mean… look at Li Zexuan! He thinks we’re his enemies!”


    “I know,” said Lu Wenqian. Her eyes welled up, but she didn’t want to cry in front of Sun Mingtao. “Let’s go back.”


    Under the wisteria rack, the three peopleughed and built a snowman.


    “Li Zexuan, thank you for helping us!” Xie Wanyu ced a small snowball on the head of the snowman. “And Luan Rongrong too!”


    Luan Rongrong was busy sticking branches at the side to make it look like arms. “What are you even talking about? If it wasn’t for you, I’d have failed my Chinese long ago. So, no need to thank me.”


    “That’s right! This is the least we can do. If it wasn’t for you, I wouldn’t be able to catch up on the lessons I missed!” said Li Zexuan.


    “Friends don’t need to thank each other for silly things like this,” said Luan


    Rongrong. “Wanvu, you’ve inspired me to try harder. I’m going to try to get into a good university in the capital, too. Then, the three of us can hang out together.”


    Xie Wanyu nodded happily. “I just wish all three of us can stay this happy forever!” She spread out her hands and caught some snowkes.


    “Can we wish on snowkes? I want to try too!” said Luan Rongrong as she tried to catch some falling snow.


    “If Wanyu can wish on snowkes, we can too!” said Li Zexuan as he tried to catch the falling snow in his palms. “I hope we all can get into good universities in the capital city so that we can hang out all the time!”


    Li Zexin was ready to rush back home after school. Big Mouth, Preserved Egg, and Chubby Jiang followed behind shamelessly. It hadn’t snowed for a long time. They wanted to get out of their school dorms and enjoy the snow. Li Zexin couldn’t put up with their begging, so he allowed them to follow him home.


    Auntie Huang had already prepared a warm, soupy meal. They were going to have a hotpot tonight!


    Auntie Huang had already heated the pot and prepared the base so that it wouldn’t take a long time. Li Zexin had his English lessons with Lin Wan, after all.


    After watching the movie, Lin Wan and Li Yanchen had fallen asleep. They woke up around 5:30 p.m. and tidied themselves before heading downstairs.


    They could hear Li Zexin’s voice at the main door.


    The door was open. Li Zexin shouted for Lin Wan at the top of his voice.


    Auntie Huang went outside to see four children ying in the snow. She went to fetch the vegetables and meatballs from the kitchen. Sheid them all on the dining table.


    Lin Wan and Li Yanchen went outside into the courtyard.


    “Hello, Sister Lin and Uncle Li, we’re here for free food again!” said Big Mouth.


    “Ms. Lin, I refused them many times, but they wouldn’t listen. I told them that I didn’t inform Auntie Huang so she wouldn’t have prepared enough food. But they said they only needed some warm water.”


    “Yes, Sister Lin. We don’t need food. We can have water.”


    Lin Wanughed. “We’re having a hotpot. There’s enough food for everyone and water too!”


    “Thank you, Sister Lin. Thank you, Uncle Li.”


    “Well… don’t stand in the cold. Come inside,” said Li Yanchen.


    As Li Zexin and his friends made their way across the courtyard, they saw the snow rabbit on the pir. They walked toward it out of curiosity.


    “Did Ms. Lin make this?” asked Li Zexin. “It won’t be Mr. Li’s work, obviously. I don’t think Auntie Huang has ever built a snowman before, let alone a snow rabbit.”


    “Yes. I made it. Do you like it?” asked Lin Wan.


    “Yes! It’s so cute!”


    “This is the first time I’ve seen someone build something like this with snow. I only ever see people making a snowman.”


    “Sister Lin, I’m going to make one when we get back to the dorms tonight! ”


    “Ms. Lin, you’re really something. Is there anything you don’t know? I really want to take this to school so everyone can admire it!” said Li Zexin..
