Chapter 295: Puzzle

On the second day, Tian Wang really applied for leave.
She spent three days with her son.
In the past three days, she had been doing puzzles with her son during the day and watching movies with her son and Lei Chen at night. Time passed very quickly.
A thousand pieces of a puzzle, usually seemed easy for her son to put together, but in her hands, it was just a pile of colorful pieces. She had agreed her son would fight for the right half and she would fight for the left half. In the end, after half a day, Wang Tian’s back ached and her eyes blurred. She could not put them together anymore.
She stood up helplessly with her hands on her waist. Her son was lying on the ground and fighting hard. The sunlight shone softly on the carpet and on the people. It was a very warm afternoon, and everything was as beautiful as a dream.
Lei Chen sat on the sofa and read the newspaper. He had nothing much to do now. The psychiatrist advised him to rest more and read more books to make himself morefortable.
Toto was sleepingzily at her son’s feet. The fur on his body was like a milky yellow wheat wave that moved with his breath, like a big golden doll.
Xiao Hu’s eyes were especially sharp. As long as he held the puzzle in his hand, it seemed to have eyes and would run toward the right ce. As she watched, Wang Tian began to yawn. As she yawned, her vision blurred and she fell asleep on the coffee table.
Lei Chen looked at her through the newspaper.
She slept so peacefully andfortably as if she had been tired for a long time.
It was just a puzzle, but it was more tiring than work. He could not help but smile.
Lei Chen tiptoed to the room to get a small nket and covered Wang Tian with it.
At this moment, he saw that Wang Tian’s face was red from sleep and she was drooling a little. He felt she was as cute as a child and could not help but smile at her again.
At this moment, Xiao Hu suddenly spoke, giving him a fright.
“Uncle, did you say that people are veryplicated?” Xiao Hu did not raise his head as he continued to solve the puzzle, but his tone was very serious, “Is Mommy treating me like a child?” she clearly didn’t like puzzles and didn’t know how to do them, yet she insisted on staying by his side. Was she trying to curry favor with him?
“Xiao Hu, a person is like a puzzle. There are many bumps and dents. Every puzzle is different, and the puzzle that fits is also different.” Lei Chen picked up a puzzle and put it aside. He pointed at its outline and circled around it.
Xiao Hu tilted his head and looked at Lei Chen as if he was listening to a story. “We will eventually be a whole piece and form a world together, right?”
“No.” Lei Chen stroked his soft hair. “But you’re very smart. Sometimes, when two people are unhappy together, it’s just that the shape of the puzzle is different, so they can’t get stuck.”
Lei Chen gently took out the missced piece from Wang Tian’s puzzle and ced it in Xiao Hu’s hands. “Because each of us has our own ce. Only by living in our own ce will we not feel ufortable and the people around us will not get hurt.”
Xiao Hu gently touched the edge of the puzzle and nodded thoughtfully.
“Then, are Daddy and Mommy, not the same two pieces?” Xiao Hu put down the puzzle in her hand.
The puzzle on the ground was almostplete, and the rough pattern could be vaguely seen. They were putting together a painting by M, Water Lily, one of Mom’s favorite paintings.
The color of the entire painting was very healing, and the pattern was also very beautiful. The water lily still looked charming and gentle in the painting.
However, the color blocks were too messy and blurry. In the area where the strokes were concentrated, it was difficult to tell the difference between the two pieces of the puzzle. His eyes were almost dazzled by the sight, let alone Wang Tian.
In the beginning, many of the color blocks were messy. Xiao Hu also knew that some of the puzzles were pressed in ces that did not belong to them. It was just as Lei Chen had said. Not only would the puzzle pieces that were pressed down be worn out, but the edges of the surrounding puzzle pieces would also be warped.
Lei Chen helped him remove the unsuitable puzzle pieces and ced them in his palm, “You can choose for yourself.”
Xiao Hu held the small pieces of the puzzle tightly in her hands. He made up her mind and nodded, “Okay, I’ll choose for myself.”
He nced at his mother who was sleeping soundly. For a moment, he did not know if he was the puzzle that hurt the other puzzles or one of the damaged puzzles..
