Still, seeing the two lovebirds finally getting their happy ending, he couldn’t help but share in their
joy. Even though he couldn’t reveal his true connection to ra just yet, he was determined to give
her everything she deserved.
Reaching into his pocket, James pulled out a card and handed it to ra. His eyes were a
kaleidoscope of emotions. “ra, this is from me. Use it to buy some things for the wedding. When
the big dayes, your grandma and I will have a special gift for you.”
ra immediately tried to refuse, shaking her head. “This is too much. I can’t ept it. I appreciate
the sentiment, though.”
But before she could finish her sentence, Ian snatched the card from James’ hand and slipped it
into ra’s pocket. “Sweetheart, you can’t turn down a wedding gift like this. It’s bad luck. We
should graciously ept whatever is given to us, got it?”
“I’ve never heard of such a thing,” ra protested.
“Well, why would anyone tell a youngdy like you? Just take it. It’s a token of your uncle’s
affection.”
James finally felt a weight lift from his chest. Stepping out of the hospital room, he immediately
dialed Marian’s number. With barely contained excitement, he spoke, “Mom, ra and Ian got their
marriage license. You and Dad need to get the wedding gifts ready. We’ll present it to her on their
wedding day.”
The news sent Marian and Michael into a frenzy, who rummaged through their belongingste into
the night. They unearthed treasures that had been hidden away for ages.
As they surveyed the array of gift boxes, Rose tutted disapprovingly. “This won’t do. We’ll need to
hit the stores tomorrow. These items might be valuable, but they’re outdated. They’re more for
collectors than a modern bride. When my granddaughter walks down the aisle, she’ll do it in style.”
Michael chuckled in agreement, “Absolutely. I’lle with you. Let’s get her something limited
edition. Our ra deserves nothing but the best.”
That very night, in a gesture of good fortune, ra had brought a registrar to the hospital to officially
marry Ian, who miraculously awoke during the process. This news quickly went viral.
Chase, fresh from surgery, couldn’t help but chuckle. “That sneaky dog. He’d do anything to get his
girl.”
He pulled out his phone to call Sasha, eager to share the good news with her. Sasha was in the
middle of a shoot when her phone buzzed incessantly. Her assistant gently reminded her, “Sasha,
Dr. Chase has called three times. Maybe you should pick up, just in case it’s urgent.”
Without hesitation, Sasha instructed, “Tell him I’m on set and can’t be bothered right now.”
Obediently, the assistant ryed the message, “Dr. Chase, Sasha is filming and can’t speak with
you.”
Chase, sensing Sasha’s touch in that tone, inquired, “Where is she shooting? I’lle to her.”
“The Imperial Hotel, room 1808,” came the response.
When he heared the location, Chase’s eyes widened in shock. “At a hotel?”
The assistant, puzzled, replied, “Yeah? The scene is where the female lead seduces her ex’s uncle
in a bid for revenge. Where else but a hotel?”
Chase’s grip tightened on his phone. His voice dropped an octave. “Seduces how? They end up in
bed?”
With a giggle, the assistant teased, “Well, there’s no actual sex, but the male lead enters in just a
towel. Those abs, those legs... Sasha’s supposed to ‘identally’ fall into his arms. Ah, I can’t wait
to see it!”
Upon hearing this vivid description, Chase could no longer sit still. He grabbed his coat and dashed
off to the film set.
