252 Computing Power
There were 30 people in the second round of thepetition, and only the top 15 would make it to the final round.
What Oswald meant was that they must solve both problems before the first 15 names appeared on the board in order to win.
It’s unknown how much time the first 15petitors would take to solve thepetition problem. In other words, they must solve two problems in an unknown time limit.
This was a test of one’s mind.
!!
Qiao Yue was very calm as she epted Oswald’s challenge.
The problem wasn’t difficult but it required a lot ofputing power.
Qiao Yue had a different solution. YQ was the one who had told her about it and they had studied it for a while.
“Teacher, something is wrong with myputer.” Someone suddenly raised their hand.
“What’s the problem?” Chang Yuan asked.
“Myputer is suddenly running very slow.”
Chang Yuan pushed up his sses and moved closer to the student’sputer. It seemed to be performing a lot of calctions, and there was even an error message about insufficient memory.
“Check if there’s a problem with your own code.” Chang Yuan thought that the problem might be caused by the student himself.
He didn’t expect that in just a few minutes, a few more students would experience the same problem where theirputers slowed significantly.
Chang Yuan frowned and connected hisptop to thework in theputerb. As expected, hisputer also had a seriousck ofputing power.
A few students were so angry that they were about to smash their keyboards.
Qiao Yue and Oswald, in contrast, were very calm.
Oswald’s method was indeed vicious. He did not find a more effective way to solve the additional problem. Instead, he chose to steal other people’sputing power and memory. This would ensure that he could solve the additional problem before the top 15 names appeared as well as his own speed of solving the problem.
It was a smart but despicable method.
Qiao Yue focused on her own solution. It seemed that for the sake of fairpetition, Oswald hadn’t stolen herputing power.
She quickly solved the additional problem. The moment she solved it, theputers in theputerb seemed to be “released” and started to run at high speed.
But Qiao Yue’sputer slowed.
There were already a few names on the board.
Qiao Yue looked up at Oswald, who was looking at her with a smug expression, like he was provoking her.
Qiao Yue didn’t bother with him. After all, the most important thing now was to solve thepetition problem.
Based on her currentputing power, Oswald was probably still solving the additional problem. However, Oswald did not exit thepetition as they had agreed. Instead, he continued to work in a rxed manner.
Qiao Yue knew that he wouldn’t keep his word.
Even if he couldn’t solve the problems today, he would drag her down with him.
He was a real dirty yer.
Qiao Yue looked at Oswald and suddenly felt that his behavior was simr to the Godfather’s. Back then, when the Godfather led people from the organization to annihte an opposing organization, he had behaved the same way.
The Godfather had promised that as long as the opposing organization surrendered and handed over everything, their leader’s family would be safe.
Although the leader had eventually handed over all the stolen goods and information, the Godfather still killed his family.
For some reason, looking at Oswald now, Qiao Yue felt that he and the Godfather were the same kind of people who wouldn’t give up until they achieved their goals.
Perhaps the Godfather took Oswald as a student because they had simr personalities.
But, like the saying “good will always triumph over evil”, Qiao Yue was neither a nobody nor a sitting duck.
When she was solving the additional problem, she also solved thepetition problem. All she had to do now was to submit her solution.
When Qiao Yue submitted her solution, she took the 14th spot. Oswald’s name was still not on the board.
Qiao Yue looked at Oswald. The otherputers in theb ran slowly again. Oswald seemed to be using the same trick to drag his opponents down with him.
Qiao Yue sneered, her fingers flying on the keyboard.
Qiao Yu, who was still working on thepetition problem, suddenly turned to look at Qiao Yue, his eyes filled with disbelief.
“Qiao Yue, what are you doing?”
“Be quiet.” Qiao Yue didn’t speak and instead worked quietly. For some reason, Qiao Yu’sputer that seemed frozen was working again. Qiao Yu wasn’t typing, but hisputer was quickly calcting and solving thepetition problem.
In less than five minutes, the timer stopped, and Qiao Yu’s name appeared in the 15th spot.
