    Candice looked up. “What’s up?”


    Hanley held a box and ced it in front of Candice. “When I went to see Zane today, he asked me


    to give this to you.”


    Candice was slightly stunned. The box contained a new series from Blue Artifact. When she had


    last met Zane, she had casually mentioned her interest in the series. “Zane is quite considerate,”


    she said.


    With that, a book was suddenly ced in front of her, and Hanley lowered his gaze, his voice


    slightly deep. “Stop looking at theputer. Come out and take a break. Ryan and the others.


    suggested going out for dinner tonight.”


    Candice happily agreed but also urged Hanley to leave. “I have to discuss matters with Jessica next


    week. I need to finish this proposal.”

    Sonia, feeling uneasy under his piercing gaze, mumbled, “I’m also Lex’s girlfriend.” She had thought


    that the old man would soften his attitude when he heard that she was Alex’s girlfriend.
