    Alex’s words were sarcastic and Candice felt as if her heart was being ruthlessly squeezed.


    She looked at Alex, feeling that the face she was looking at was somewhat foreign.

    “You are overthinking it,” she said calmly. “It’s just that Peach told mest night that she wanted

    Candice watched Sonia leave before Greg slowly stepped forward.


    His expression was a little tangled, as if he did not know what to say. In the end, he could only sigh


    and said, “Let’s go, Alex still needs you to make a trip there.”


    The point of going to Noxville was to join Alex to deal with the mess left by Ivor. People from the


    Aether branch were also there. Candice had visited with Alex to handle work before, so the people


    in the branch still knew her, and called her Secretary Renault.

    mess he left behind is over?”


    The person in charge of the branch reported quietly from the side. “Those thugs have been


    guarding the door of thepany recently, moring for money from us. One of thepany’s


    employees went out to meet a customer the day before yesterday, and identally provoked


    them, and was beaten to the point of being sent to the hospital”


    Alex sneered as he looked at Candice. “Did you hear that?”


    Candice looked appalled.
