    Candice hesitated slightly. Her encounters with Alex had not been pleasant, and he had only just


    terminated her that morning.

    Dr. Brooks finished speaking and then went outside to answer the phone.

    I have little patience.”


    Candice stood still, her body trembling slightly. Alex’s words seemed to imply that she would

    Distressed, she returned to the ward and, as usual chatted with her grandfather for a while before


    preparing to leave.


    Before she left, she saw the nurse bringing in a te of fruit.


    “Dr. Brooks said that Mr. Sundance can have some regr food now,” the nurse exined. “He


    even had a small bowl of porridge tonight, so I prepared some fruit for him.” The nurse handed the

    Candice checked and found no problems.


    She went downstairs and passed by Dr. Brook’s office, but Alex was no longer there.


    The rain had eased up significantly, and when she arrived at the vi, Nadia and others were still

    She did not see Hanley, and Ryan mentioned that he was in the study working on design drafts.
